Low Self-Esteem: A Case Study Part 2

from CCEF Podcast: Where Life & Scripture Meet

In Part 1 of this podcast, Dr. David Powlison introduced us to Jimmy who is a man classified as suffering from “low self-esteem.” He challenges us to think through how descriptions, masquerading as explanations, often persuade us that they have the truth about understanding people. This week he will discuss why the self-esteem worldview “appears” to create success stories and why the biblical understanding of self-evaluation goes deeper and beyond rehabilitating the fear of man. This audio is from the Theology and Secular Psychology class. In this class you learn the skills to love others wisely by truly understanding how they think and put their world together. It is being offered through CCEF’s Distance Education in June of 2010. Other classes offered in June are: Dynamics of Biblical Change , Helping Relationships [add link to , Counseling in the Local Church [add link, and Marriage Counseling.
