Loxley Brown - Inspiring the Next Generation of Female Astronauts

Loxley Brown, author of the newly released children's book Rocket City Love, is committed to encouraging young girls to dream big. Her book follows a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut—a narrative designed to empower readers, showing them that there are no limits to what they can achieve.  Space exploration has long been a male-dominated field. It wasn’t until the 1980s that Sally Ride made history as the first woman to be launched into space, and even today, women remain significantly outnumbered in the industry. However, there is a transformative shift underway. Recent studies show that more young girls than boys are now aspiring to careers in aeronautics, signaling a new era of gender equality in space exploration.
