LSU vs Florida State Preview + Prediction | College Football 2023

This is the third year in a row that Brian Kelly has faced off against Mike Norvell's Florida State Seminoles. Formerly the head coach of Notre Dame in 2021, Kelly became the head coach of the LSU Tigers in 2022 and opened up against Florida State to begin last season. This year, both Norvell and Kelly have the most talented teams in their entire head coaching careers, and they will play Sunday night at 7:30 PM ET for a chance to take a statement win home. Florida State and LSU both pulled in Top 10 transfer portal classes this preseason. The Seminoles got commitments from wide receiver Keon Coleman, tight end Jaheim BelI, defensive back Fentrell Cypress, and a variety of other key players. The Tigers received commitments from linebacker Omar Speights, defensive back Duce Chestnut, and a plethora of other important defensive players. Both teams are ranked in the Top 10 of the AP poll to start their season, and ESPN predicts that both Florida State and LSU will play in their conference's championship game. I predict that this will be a tight contest, but LSU will come out on top thanks to their deeper roster, stronger fundamentals, and superior coaching staff.
