Lucas 16 CEB

The Rich Man has a gate that Lazarus cannot enter. There is a wall, a barrier that the Rich Man has put up between himself, and Lazzarus. This chasm that he has erected between himself, and his brother follows him into death, and the tides of turn turned, and the tables of turned, and the high have been brought low, and the low have been brought up, and the rich man find himself begging from the poor man. This chapter shows a great similarity with Mary song at the beginning of the book of Luke.Another interesting thing about this chapter is one of my favorite lines. When Jesus says what is highly honorable among people is deeply offensive to God. Our view of money, and Goetz view of money is totally different. God does not value. Hoarding it up and watching it and guarding it. Instead, he seems to enjoy, loaning it, and giving it freely and lightning peoples load , even if they don’t deserve it.
