LUCY RIVERO- Studied at the University of Los Angeles, California, UCLA, she is a certified interpreter. She worked as a bilingual news editor, and later news reporter and anchor at KLCS TV in Los Angeles CA. She has interpreted for two North American presidents, two Mexican presidents and the president of Colombia, amongst other governmental representatives, and celebrities. She was editor, and writer of Parenting Magazine, bilingual edition. Lucy currently divides his time working in North America and Mexico. She has worked for over 15 years with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health in more than 2000 conferences, symposiums, and seminars to eliminate the stigma of mental health and formulate strategies for people to fully accept mental health disorders, and mitigate high rates of family violence and suicide, especially in these times of COVID-19. Her participation in these forums throughout her career made her aware that there is a disconnect, and lack of information and attention, not only for people suffering from mental health disorders, but for family members, and the people who care for them. Lucy has witnessed firsthand that recovery and resilience in mental health is achievable, especially when there is a navigable path for all, not just those in the know. She is a mother of 4, a daughter, and wife first. Lucy is an accomplished activist, and believer in closing the wage gap.
