Luke 1:46–56 AndMary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48for he has looked on the humbleestate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call meblessed; 49 for he who is mighty hasdone great things for me, and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation togeneration. 51 He has shown strengthwith his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; 52 he has brought down the mighty fromtheir thrones and exalted those of humble estate; 53 he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he hassent away empty. 54 He has helpedhis servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, 55 as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspringforever.” 56 And Mary remained withher about three months and returned to her home.1. WORSHIP BEGINS IN THEHEART.  Colossians 3:15-1615. And let the peace ofChrist rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And bethankful. 16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching andadmonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritualsongs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Ephesians 5:19addressing one another inpsalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lordwith your heart,Galatians  4:19my little children, for whomI am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you! 2. WORSHIP EXTOLS HISATTRIBUTES. Genesis 16:13So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,“You are a God of seeing,” for she said, “Truly here I have seen him who looksafter me.3. WORSHIP IS GROUNDED INSCRIPTURE. Psalm 146:1-10 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!  2. I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while Ihave my being.  3. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whomthere is no salvation.  4. When his breath departs, he returns to theearth; on that very day his plans perish. 5. Blessed is he whose help isthe God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, 6. who made heavenand earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; 7.who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lordsets the prisoners free; 8. the Lord opens the eyes ofthe blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves therighteous. 9. The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widowand the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. 10. TheLord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise theLord!”4. WORSHIP RECOUNTS HISPROMISES. Exodus 6:6-8  Say thereforeto the people of Israel, ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from underthe burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, andI will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. 7. I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall knowthat I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens ofthe Egyptians. 8. I will bring you into the land that I swore to give toAbraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I amthe Lord.’Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be withyou; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.Romans 8:38,39  For I am surethat neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present northings to come, nor powers,  39. nor height nor depth, nor anything elsein all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.2  Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a newcreation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out ofdarkness into his marvelous light.
