In modern times pregnant people have to fight for the rights associated with it, but in this chapter we see how a woman who gives birth doesn't even have the final word on what the newborn is named. The patriarchal societies of the Bible treat women as property and the same legacy exists among modern Bible thumpers who also claim to believe that God is NOT a biased respecter of persons.
