Luke 1 - Struck Silent
from Messages with Pastor Micah Hosted by Pastor Micah Smith
In this episode, we continue our study through Luke chapter 1 by exploring the miraculous announcement of John the Baptist’s birth. After nearly 400 years of silence, God speaks again through the angel Gabriel, bringing a message of hope, prophecy, and preparation for the coming of Christ. We look at the lives of Zechariah and Elizabeth—faithful servants of God who carried the pain of barrenness and unanswered prayers—and how God used their circumstances for His greater purpose. This message highlights the fulfillment of Old Testament promises, the humanity of doubt and fear, and the reminder that God is always at work, even in seasons of waiting and suffering. Through the story of John’s coming birth, we are encouraged to trust God’s timing, believe His promises, and remember that He can redeem even the hardest situations for good.
