Luke 11

from Perfectly Imperfect Together · host Perfectly Imperfect Together

In Luke 11, Jesus gives us a living example of what prayer looks like and how to walk out life in radical active faith fully surrendered to the will of the Father. The Lord's Prayer isn't just some words we recite. If we are just reciting words by memory and not from the heart, there's no point. Jesus gives us an outline of what it looks like to acknowledge and stand in awe of our Almighty Father in reverence to His holy Name and Character. He shows us how to surrender our will to carry out the Father's will on earth. He shows us how to depend on the Father for every provision, trusting Him in every moment of every day for every outcome. He shows us how to forgiven and what it looks like to forgive truly. He teaches us to call on the power of the strength of Jesus to resist any and all temptations. Prayer is a daily lifestyle, not just mere words spoken with no heart or passion. Prayer surrenders our will to the Lord almighty so His glory can shine throughout the ends of the earth.
