Luke 2

Jesus's birth in Bethlehem fulfills Micah's prophecy while angels announce peace to humble shepherds rather than Jerusalem's elite. The presentation in the temple introduces Simeon and Anna, who recognize the infant Messiah and prophesy about His mission to both Israel and the Gentiles. The boy Jesus's wisdom in the temple at age twelve foreshadows His teaching ministry while revealing His unique relationship with the Father.
