Luke 2:22-28. "God Works Through Humble People."

Send us Fan MailThere are many young couples showing up, daily, to the temple, to offer sacrifices for their neborn babies. One of the priests sees a couple (Mary and Joseph)  with an external image that stated obviously they could not afford much but two birds instead of a lamb and a dove for a sacrifice. Regardless, his job, as a priest, is not to judge people by outward appearance. Surprisingly, a psalm is stated by another worshiper, an older man named Simeon, which the priest takes a while to understand. Once he finally recognizes it, he understands that, it is not through worldly glory - riches and splendor, visible power - that God does his work; his work happens through his word alone. Through humble sinners, like priests and pastors, serving other sinners. Join us in Luke 2 verses 22-38 as we discuss the power of God's word at work.
