Luke 2 - Jesus Consecrated

In Luke 2:22–40, Mary and Joseph bring Jesus to the temple in obedience to the Law of Moses, where Simeon and Anna recognize Him as the fulfillment of God’s promises. This message traces the connections between Jesus, the firstborn, redemption, and the hope of salvation, while highlighting the faithfulness of those who waited expectantly for God to keep His word. Because God has already proven faithful to His promises, believers can have confidence in the promises still ahead. Like Simeon and Anna, we are called to live with our attention fixed on God, worshiping, waiting, and trusting in the redemption He has provided through Christ.
