Luke 2 - Why Shepherd’s

In this message from Gospel of Luke 2, we explore the birth of Jesus with fresh attention to its historical setting, divine purpose, and surprising witnesses. From Caesar’s census to the crowded journey to Bethlehem, every detail is shown as part of God’s intentional plan. The sermon focuses on the shepherds as the first to receive the angelic announcement and the first to worship Christ. Though ordinary and overlooked, they are chosen to witness the arrival of the Savior and respond with immediate obedience and joyful proclamation. At its heart, this episode is about worship and grace—how God reveals Himself to the unexpected, fulfills His promises through humble circumstances, and calls every believer to respond like the shepherds: with wonder, urgency, and a life that points others to Jesus.
