Luke 7:1-17: Two Wonders

Wonders abound around us, even though we rarely recognize them as such. Jesus healed most everyone he came into contact with, some are raised from the dead, but the wonder that was his priority was making it so that we (and everyone else that have believed) might have new life. That is a wonder. It is a wonder that only matters, though, if the biggest wonder of them all is true...that we have a God who cares and is involved in the lives of people.So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives. Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, “I am holy; you be holy. [1 Peter 1:13-16]
