As always make sure you've watched the episode before listening to our podcast. Luke Cage Season 211 Review "The Creator" Spoiler filled Synopsis Directed by Stephen Surjik Written by Nicole Mirante-Matthews With smoke still hanging in the air from the brutal scenes at Gwen’s restaurant a .38 mm bullet provides a link to Mariah Stokes ( Alfre Woodard ) and a trail of blood from the scene suggests a witness. Shaken by Mariah's ferocious act, Luke combs the city for the witness and finds Anansi’s wife Ingrid ( Heather Simms ) who refuses to testify, preferring justice to be served by the family McIvor. Flashbacks reveal the fateful encounter between the Stokes and McIver families - debt, deals and death - and also reveals the role of nightshade in the survival of John McIvor ( Mekhi Hewling ) as a boy back in Jamaica. Back in Harlem Tilda ( Gabrielle Dennis ) administers nightshade yet again to heal Bushmaster ( Mustafa Shakir ) setting him on a path to vengeance as he learns about Mariah’s massacre. Meanwhile, as Mariah consolidates her position she goes against a Stokes family rule, making a deal to start selling heroin in Harlem. As Shades ( Theo Rossi ) confronts her about this and her recent actions, he ends their relationship and chooses to surrender himself to Misty Knight ( Simone Missick ) of the Harlem precinct.
