Good morning. I heard a few of you. Good morning. That's better.
I like to see this crowd. It's a full house here today and it's just wonderful to see new faces. I met a few of you and maybe you don't know me but my name is Luke Jagger. My wife Lois is here today with us and it's just wonderful to be back here and to be able to fellowship with you today and would we want to be anywhere else this morning.
Just a wonderful time worshiping the Lord in the first meeting and I trust God for a bless your heart as He's been blessed in mind listening to you. Just sing with your hearts and sing unto the Lord. It's just a wonderful privilege to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Before we get less this bow and word of prayer, our Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love this morning.
We thank you so much that we hold a wonderful Word of God in our hands. Father, yet there are many today who do not have the Word of God in their own language and Father, help us never to take it for granted. We thank you for the Lord Jesus Christ or His coming into this world. Father, nothing we did.
We only went away from you but you sent Him into this world to save us from our sin. Father, my prayer this morning is that if there is one here today that is not repented and not put His faith in trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that He or she may do so today and know what it is to have peace in their life. They have the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ and being a part of the wonderful family of the family of God. Father, pray that your Word and your Spirit will bless each heart and strengthen each one that needs strengthening here today.
In Jesus name, my pray, amen. Well, big thank you to all of you for remembering us. We sit on a little mountain side in Papua Guinea and a little home and far from here and yet this little world isn't that big of a place but we're just thankful for God's people praying. When our people have finished fellowshiping, it's time for them.
They're in bed and they've already done their Sunday fellowship but we know that God's people are praying for us and we sense that. When you're in Christ, when you're part of the family of God, you know that God's Word speaks and it speaks to hearts and that changes us. We love to encourage one another. I'd like to share just a few thoughts before I give an update today about some things that happened many years ago and it was around the time of the Reformation period, the time of Martin Luther and many men who are going through a very difficult time and they had gotten together and they decided on coming up with five phrases and they were Latin phrases and I don't even have them here but I'll see if I can remember.
One was solo scriptora. That means solo like somebody gets up here and sings or speaks to whatever, they do it solo. So solo means alone. So the Word of God alone, solo scriptora, solo fide was faith, that salvation comes by faith alone.
Solagrazia, by God's grace, alone through Christ alone, solo Christo and solo deo gloria to the glory of God alone. And these men went through some very, very difficult circumstances because they recognized that the church, which we were here when we were here one other day, the church of the day back that long ago had become very corrupt and felt that their traditions were as important or more important than the Word of God. So they stood strong and felt that if its traditions did not follow the Word of God then it had to be rejected. And they wanted people to understand that as we see in Second Timothy and in Second Peter that God's Word is inspired and when it's inspired it comes from God and it's authoritative and Paul would say that we can't go beyond the Word.
But the Word of God says that's where we've got to stop, we can't add things to the Word of God. And Second Peter would say that that's sufficient for our daily lives. Well the wonderful thing that came out of that is part of what I've been a little involved with is the translation of the Word of God. They felt that the Word of God needed to be translated in people's languages and the Indo-European language, there was German and French and English and the Bible began to be translated and the Bible began number two began to be taught in the common language of the people of the day.
And I love reading the Word of God and I love listening to Jesus talk when he tells stories and parables because I really believe he talked in the language of the day. Those people understood that there was no question, there was no words, we were shared about some words that we don't use today and I remember sitting down translating and I asked one guy one day I said, what's your word for this? You're going to assume something, I don't know what it is. So we asked some other people, nobody knew what it was.
So finally we went to one, we called La Cum Mary, a very old age woman and we went to see her and she knew what the Word was. And so I go around and Billy is sometimes using it and people look at me like I'm, you know, Lulu or something like that. But I began to realize that this is something like words that need to be updated for our generation of day because words would change and I didn't use that word. And because it just wasn't something that the people used.
And so anyway, the Word of God way back then began to be translated in the language of the day and in 2 Timothy 3 16 says all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is probable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction, righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. So there you have it. The Word of God tells us itself that it is from God and that it's inspired, it's from him. And so we need people who are people of the Word, people of the book, that they understand what it says, they know what it talks about and we want to encourage that.
In our village we have those who meet together on the Sabbath day and they believe that they are the true church but God is not their only authority. They have other prophets and people who they believe they have to look to and who have writings that they write down. And those writings are false. They are not the truth.
They don't come from the Lord. On another point that I want to share quickly with you this morning for an update, just two points I would like to share with. The other is three things that the Lord or one night it was somebody was taking care of Bible study and they were not ready. And they said, that's okay, the white man will do it.
And so anyway I did end up doing it. And I got up in front of the people and as often happens I looked at the Lord and said, Lord what do you want me to share? And the Lord gave me three questions that I would like to share with you today. To encourage you, because I know that many of you are involved in reaching out to your neighbors and out on the streets reaching the gospel.
But this is what I encourage with. The Lord gave me three questions and what I asked the people I said, who are you? And I just stopped. And they kind of looked at me and they said, he's looking at me.
And I said, well, who are you? And they kind of look at some of them and they kind of look back at me and I don't know. I said, what do you mean you don't know who you are? And so it was funny to see some of the little kids kind of caught on.
And but when somebody says to you, I told them when you drive to town you get on a bus, a public motor vehicle, and you sit down on this PMV, I said, you're not just a birdie face it in there. You're going to town. The Lord has you there for a reason. And somebody says to you, who are you?
The Lord just opened the door. He just opened the door. That you can tell somebody who you really are. And when we think about that, there are many verses in the Word of God.
And one is when we know the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible tells us that we become new creations. And 2 Corinthians 5, 17 says, therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. And sometimes I say to people, they say, who are you?
And I say, how much time do you have? Because I want to talk about the Lord Jesus Christ. We're children of God and we're partakers of a divine nature. We're children of light and the list goes on and on.
Well, the other question, two more questions Lord gave me was, where do you live? Where's your home? And again, that's just another chance that the Lord opens the door up. And hopefully when you hear that phrase, you'll say, let me think, there's John 14, one to three, which says, in my Father's house, we're many mansions.
If we're not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. My home is not here. I'm just passing through. We're here just for a short time.
And we want to tell everybody about this one full place that God has, and Paul would say in Philippians that he was like, hold two ways. He said, I know I need to say here, but he said to be with Christ would be far better. And then the last question that the Lord brought me that evening was, what do you do? And well, hopefully again, the Lord is just open and open the opportunity and give you an opportunity to share with somebody what you do.
And what I do is in verse 24 of Colossians chapter three, knowing that from the Lord, you shall receive the reward, the inheritance for ye serve the Lord Christ. And there are many verses like that, first Corinthians 9, 19, for though I be free from all, yet I make myself servant unto all that I might gain them more. So the Lord brings this opportunity, and Ephesians chapter five says to redeem the time because the days are evil. Take those opportunities when they come your way.
Sometimes it's difficult. Maybe you're not a person of words. I have different children in my family, and one of my daughters is very outspoken, and she can just, you know, she's just happy to preach wherever she goes. And I've got other ones that are shy, and they like to do it more on a one-on-one type basis.
But God has given us so much, I was looking at an old message that I put together long going, what do I have in Christ? Well, I'm in Christ, Philippians 1, I'm in the beloved, I'm in heavenly places. The believer is now a saint in light, he's in the body, we stand in grace, we live a new life, and that's who you are. And so hopefully as you are traveling around town or whatever you do, as you have an opportunity, and God brings them by your way, you'll see that those opportunities and take advantage of them, share the gospel with those around you.
Okay, I'd like to share just a little bit of an update about what God's been doing over there, and just come back here, and I realize they didn't have much for pictures, but I want to share a little bit about what the Lord has been doing and just some a few stories about what he's been doing, and we'll begin with just what it looks like to be in Papua New Guinea a little bit where we live. So here we are, we're just North Australia, I saw this picture many time, and I've had one person in Ontario came up who was an elder of a chapel, and he said to me, so when you go back to Africa, and I said, I'm going back to New Guinea, I said, and he said, yeah, that's what I mean, when you go back to Africa. And so, in our mind, and we're just North Australia very far away from Africa, and sitting in a tribal group there in a language that's, yes, very many different languages, 850 different languages, and we say different words, it's actually very interesting, just our people love to listen to the lowland people, just to share because maybe you have not heard from me before, but in our language, if we said, I am happy to say, and in another tribe next to us, if you said the same phrase, you would say, and so they're very, very different languages all around the globe, and one of the reasons we went to language school is because how do you write down all these sounds? Some of you are coming from different language groups, I was talking some of this morning, and you have different sounds and noises, and you can say things like, if I say, and for us English speaking, and you get down the lowlands, and you've got people who start with um, and then they use the clicks and things like that, so maybe watch the gods must be crazy, that movie, I don't know if you've watched that before, but there's a lot of pops and clicks in that, and um, but these people down the lowlands, when they say things they go, oh, right?
Anyway, but it's all through the nose and so and then some people have a lot of like we say our neighbors especially say a lot of pops and clicks and it's just they put a chunk of cow cow in their mouth and they put that in their mouth and they start talking and you hear all these clicks going and they go really fast. We use some clicks and pop but it's very different. Anyway, we had people from our assembly our chap well years ago saying like why don't you just go over there and just start learning the language. So I mean there were phrases I've shared here before like the word tomato like it's where it's it's you smell with a couple of them you start bringing through your nose you know and that's a tomato and then you have something like water which is the letter I with a little cross on it and you say oh oh so I asked this guy how do you write down these things I mean tell you you told me over to and start just learning the language I said how do you write these things down a little skunk like Anna when you say eat math math how do you say eat math math how do you write eat math math and so they go oh okay okay I think we got the idea why you went the language going on.
So anyway we go over there and we learn different phrases and it's just it's fun to sit down with the people and just to teach them the word of God and try to figure out how to say different things in different words I was sitting there one day this is our house and so my head of office is over there on a sitting there one day and Abraham's going down with his wife to Egypt and he's wearing because he's a beautiful wife and he says to Abraham says to Sarah he says just say that I'm your brother because why did he say that because she was what she was a beautiful woman and so I said to the guys I said how do you say beautiful in your language and look at each other and they look back and they said she's good and I said what I said no no no I said this woman this woman was really nice looking and try to explain to him and then she's really really good and so I said no no no I said and I didn't know if it works you know we think in our own culture I think my own culture and I think how am I going to get it across these guys okay well just try it you know when you're dating days I don't think they did about hardly even knew it and I said you know when you first met the love of your life you remember that woman you saw and she was young and she's just you know she's beautiful you know she's a wife and you think oh I can only just you know get to know her and date her and fall and you know she's just so beautiful and the two brothers are looking at each other and they're just listening to me talking I thought are they getting any of this and all this is a big smile starting to break out in their face they're going I seen in Taki and I said what's that mean and basically we figured out and she's really gorgeous but anyway we had a lot of fun trying to figure these things out this is why it looks like from Ridge to Ridge you see home sometimes you don't see many because they're so well hidden in the bush from day to day we see these guys flying around and looking for food and they always remind me that they that wait upon the Lord shall we know there's rank and we certainly need that and we thank the Lord again for people praying for us here's just we have many many different types of birds there and just one of the sites we always see in our village is smoke pouring out the top of the house you think oh my goodness is the house and fire we got one of these people but it's actually steam half the time and it's it's this steam is because they're kind of cooking a meal that could be in the ground and it just all the sun starts to build with all kinds of steam and later there's just a wonderful wonderful meal cooked we're really curious with our believers as they go along the road these are two of sisters on the right here and it's just wonderful to see the testimony that they have in the village we're in a very religious tribe we're not in a tribe that is deep in the bush but our tribe has many different cults and we're just thankful for the testimony that they have we built this little hot affair back in 2001 and it's just wonderful to see how many people come to know the Lord there they come up there it's just open they feel like they want to share whatever their story is and we have a chance to share the gospel with them and see them come to know the Lord this is a common sight this is going down my lane the things I deal with from day to day please please don't leave your pigs on the road I know you want to time up there they're gonna dig in the mud but that fills the ditch and then the waterfalls and top the road and my roads on and so anyway but this sister is again this is one of our ladies who comes to the chapel from week to week and she's just a real faithful sister again another site you'll see in our villages the men do the work on the houses and the ladies usually do more with gardening and things like that sometimes I go outside I just have this little puny Sony camera and it's just got a little fix lens on it and I go open everything shut down in our village we have power going through our village and anyway I'm the last one shut in the lights off and the village goes dark and sometimes it's just like this and I open that lens up for 30 seconds and it shows stars that I can't even see from that little lens and I put that on my computer and I'm out there at night and all is I can say is God it's just God you are just amazing just amazing what he does all around us in the stars we see his hand you were one of the things we've been doing is teaching the guys again to teaching more men to use a chainsaw and this trees in our yards or it's kind of dried up pray for this lady on the left you might forget her name her name's Appley sounds like Apple anyway pray for her she's been very sick these three ladies that lowest sit with our Sunday school teachers and just pray for them especially for Appley that she would be alright she's done a lot of work with the kids the lady on the right is Lucy and she's about my son's age and she's just she just loves life she's always happy and I put this picture in here because that's her co-couse in the back there and then she has another host out there left us a little nicer but that's that's what home looks like for her but every Sunday morning she's just rejoicing the Lord rejoicing to go to hear the word of God and encouraging others to come pray for our kids our kids are going more and more if you don't get your kid in the school nearby then they have to go very far away and right now sometimes on a Sunday morning we have very few children now because they're so far away at schools that are in other tribes now there's one young lady she always comes up and she loves low she calls lowest mommy and just pray for her to be saved can you remember name lowest member name mumpy mumpy so this is mumpy and you can just pray for her she loves to come play basketball she's very good at it these are few other guys this little boy that's out doing his little cool sign whatever there I'm amazed he goes down on the coast and visits with some people that he knows from there where his uncle is and they'll be sitting him and another guy from another church will be sitting across the fence from each other both with the Bibles open and they'll be sharing what they've learned from the word and if he's off theologically this kid here will straighten them yeah these are few of the kids again that are all three kids on the right are off to schools in other places and the boy that's beside me excuse me no offense here but they call him black and they call him black because they figured that there's an island called bucca there and the people there are more darker there and the rest of kids and our village be more brown but anyway they call him black and so we call him black and he comes to visit our home and I say to black you got to go to school today and he goes yeah but I don't like school I'll come and do your work and I'll work with you so sometimes he doesn't make the school he comes with me and I get a chance to sit down and talk to the Lord things like that these kids just really love the Lord and again pray for them because they go off these other villages we don't see them it's typical for our kids to get up in the morning early take a sweet potato after the after the grounds very hot in the ashes are hot they'll take a sweet potato and they'll drill it into the ashes and bury it there and hide it from their siblings and hopefully when they come home from school they'll be that sweet potato that's all come some of you shaking your head saying yeah I know that pray for our next generation and for some of the people in our village this little boy he comes up with his dad all the time because he's one of the um um um those leaders grandsons and um these people have heard the gospel many times but cults keep pulling away and the things of the world cargo and things like that hold these people away and they're just really good friends the lady that's to the left of Lois is Lois and she was a baby she grew up she knows as well we've been friends for a long time but please pray for these people because um yeah again they've heard the word of God many times when am I supposed to finish here I'm just grew in here 1230 okay okay okay I'll slow down then and pray for FA FA has been one of our Bible teachers and fell in the sin it wasn't anything some people would say serious but FA fell in the sin and led her to stray he confessed to sin and gotten right with the Lord but he's just really slow coming back to the Lord and he's just lost his wife and who was never really she professed Christ but never never lived a good testimony when we first got back we had the biggest earthquake we've had um in popping beginning we can have an earthquake summer popping beginning there's an earthquake almost happening every day so they're there a normal thing um and in our area we probably feel an earthquake sometimes two or three times a week maybe five three or four or five times a month but we got down the hill it was just Sunday morning ready to walk into the chapel and everybody's yelling me sit down sit down and uh it was amazing you're sitting on the ground and the ground's almost like a surf nothing's changing you don't know how it's happening but it's like it's throwing you up and down and uh there were a number of people who they just gambling play cards they don't come to church or do anything so they're all sitting on the sides of the road they're looking at the trees the trees look like they're gonna fall the people who are driving by everybody thinks they've got a flat tire and so they're all stopping their vehicles and they're looking outside and not from the tire and all of a sudden they're realizing and my car is sitting beside the road just on a little bit of a slant and it just about rolled over it was just really slamming up and down so we got back home and uh yeah we had a bit of a mess in the house it was just everything was shaking all over the place um this is this is actually so a lot worse than this typically but um you know this is usually the start of it you begin to feel the house start to shake back and forth and we decide and sometimes I'm in bed in the morning and I go no lord just rocking me back to sleep but sometimes it doesn't happen we get out of bed um we've been preparing many chronological lessons and uh through the new testament to so we've uh printed again Romans 1st and 2nd tessel and nycha can you figure that one out and revelation so while we were there last time we were able to teach the book of revelation and it was just really wonderful to hear the responses of the people people coming up and saying you know we've got to live for the lord now because this is going to happen one day and we don't know when he's coming back and uh realizing that the the return of the lord jesus christ is imminent could happen anytime just before we left we also reprinted our song book uh Monos agami is our song book again pray for brothers and sisters they have their problems their issues they get their temptations the lady that's kind of in the center here um she went there's a council member there and she went and slept with him and her husband was not very happy about that and that course gets in the church and becomes a bad testimony and sek months to ruin things and uh and the lady on the far I guess you're right is um another lady too that got enticed by the cults to go back with with them she's been with us for some time we just pray that you'll come back again and so pray for these people these are few of the brothers that come to our meeting from week to week oh and I just I just throw this up for a plug um go back one here the the man with the cap one has hit their and one other lady I'll see in the moment um they need hearing aids and I don't know if anybody knows anybody who knows hearing aids but uh we're looking for her somehow I don't know anything about them but uh it would be wonderful to take them back because this one our village leader's wife has gotten saved but she's not coming out anymore because she just doesn't hear too much you have to literally yell in her ears so that she can hear but if you don't think about that um let me know Taylor Taylor's been uh one of our guys who understand some English so he might read somebody if you know some you know Chuck Swindol or people like that he'll read by somebody like that and on a Sunday morning when we get together and we share uh he's got just some wonderful thoughts that he shares from the Word of God and he's uh he's just uh he understands a lot of things about English sometimes we go on to conferences and stuff like that where we go home or whatever and he says um we're putting all the suitcases in the back of my vehicle and he goes Luke why don't we just put a set of wheels on your house it seems like you're always making so much stuff but he's always making funny comments and it's just wonderful to see these guys studying the Word of God coming from week to week preparing to teach God's Word and able to take that on their own we've connected a little bit with a tribe that's further away and uh where the Word of God is just really spreading and they've had a conference there recently and the guy up on the right side I think I mentioned it before just before I left not last time at the time before there was a a knock at my gate we have a little chain hang on our gate and there was a little knock knock knock at our gate and someone on our side and said hello and he says hello to me he said are you Luke and I said yes I am and he said I'm Luke and right away I knew who he was when he was a baby his father was from another tribe and taught me the trade language and uh he called his lastborn son Luke well they divorced and moved off to this tribe which was not where Luke's father was from and uh anyway his father was too afraid of evil spirits and sorcerers there especially so that he would not go back and get Luke and so his mom took off went to that tribe but his mom left him with some some his aunts and nobody really looked after him and at the at the age of a boat oh I'm not sure whether it was 10 11 12 or something like that he was just standing up kind of for a lawn looking on the side of the road and this lady who's standing beside him felt that she should never be married but look for those kind of children so she can bring them into her home and look after them so there's Luke standing there nobody look after him she's a safe woman loves and knows the Lord and takes her out to follow takes him says I want you to become my son and he says wow I've got a mom and so she takes him to Sunday meeting from week to week Luke gets saved and all of a sudden one day from this little chubby little fat baby I saw with his mom he's the first time I saw Luke and he was knocking at me gate we pray for him over the years and uh he just loves the Lord and he has such a clear testimony that the Lord Jesus Christ means everything to him and his whole testimony of how he was lost and how God saved him just a wonderful testimony he just started teaching at his school where he goes and there are many people who believe in cults and some of the counselors said no you can't teach and then finally the counselors came and talked to him said well you can teach but can we come to and so he's just had a wonderful testimony there pray for Luke as he reaches out to many of his neighbors that need to hear the word they actually travel to I'll go to one next video here some of these ladies you'll see second in from the right is Lucy and John was one of our preachers so they're at this conference and these other ladies are what we call from Bushkettima so it's a place where these you need to chopper to go into these locations and so they hike to these places um trusting the God to lead them to the right places uh there was a man from and it's only an England who started a church in another province and some of these had spread into the bush and so um these ladies have come now and uh and men and they just loved the word of God and so we're just thankful for people who've helped us by boxes of Bibles and uh those Bibles have gone out to some of these places and men the people are just hungry for the word they anytime I send a box of Bibles but people just buy them within a few seconds and uh so Lucy went around through the tribe uh through the conference and um are where the ladies were sleeping she'd knock on the doors and she says I want to be a friend of somebody does anyone want to be my friend and so they take these string bags that they have and uh Lucy makes her bags from string from the store whereas they would make their bags from uh string that's made in the bush and so they switched bags and uh they became forever friends and uh it's just wonderful to see what Christ does in the heart from people who would maybe have fought together years ago these tribes are now coming together here in the word of God and uh God is changing their lives I just want to picture a few of our men um simply from Florida send us some shirts so they want to take a picture of that um we're thankful to the Lord for this uh old four-wheeler it still takes us around my knees are getting really bad I had one bad knee and when I got back here my second one started to give out on me so we're just thankful to the Lord for this thing that keeps taking us around and visiting some of the people this is the lady then set beside Lois who's a village leader's wife who is not able to hear and so you can just pray for her that uh we'll find some means to get a hearing aid for her again these are this is what we have to do every day is go down steps like this it's up down we live in the mountains it's nice and cool but um we need prayer to keep going uh we had some deaths of people in our village and they were great times to um share the gospel and then when we teach the word of God chronologically from creation of Christ's resurrection um it takes about three weeks so we were able to share in one village and see some people come to know the Lord and uh when we go back Lord willing I want to really take the men into um some other villages where there's been fighting but now the fighting's settled down and we hope to teach the word in these other villages so just be praying about that too this lady here she was just very interested in hearing about how we taught the word of God she was visiting and uh just wanted to get some of our materials so that they can uh have it and read it and take it to their homes you can be praying for Max just before we left Max is on the left he got a Bible he's all excited he's not saved but he really understood that where he had been fellowship before had nothing to do with the Bible much other than following the law and and a lot of other cultists mixed in thinking so anyway we gave him the message very clearly and uh just pray for him it really seems like if he's not saved yet that um he's going to come to know the Lord over here is Felix and uh he's from another tribe so it's uh will speak his language sometime like learn a little bit of it just pray for him um his wife is Lucy so she's one of our main believers just pray for Max and Felix they just both are fine men I really like him as friends they're always ready to help and number three people Max, Felix and Riga Riga is this lady here and she's named after her place and so you can just pray for her again our tribe is a religious tribe you can look from where I sit on my side the mountain you can look up to the other mountains and there's a little A-shaped mountain sitting on the on the top of this mountain and at the bottom of the mountain is a hundred people there's eight churches of different denominations at the bottom that mountain and none of them really understanding what the gospel is all about so just pray for that area where she's from because we hope to teach the word of God pray for this better this is final final is the one only elder that we have at our assembly now and he takes a lot on and has a lot of responsibilities so just pray for him there's many things that uh I love him he's just he's safe straightforward he sees everything what Christ has done why don't we serve him there's nothing else there's no other life he says why don't people get this message many people have been deceived and Satan is the father of all lies and he's a great deceiver this is another picture of happily the one I asked you to pray for who's been sick she's at town now and uh I just heard the other day that they sent her thirty dollars to go get some scans done this young lady's been coming for a long time um we've seen this known her mother for since we've moved there and uh seeing her born there back in 2012 and uh she's also wanting to be a son he's will teach her we get a lot of people through that come through that her missionaries and uh so we have opportunities to uh just let them come in and fellowship with them and inevitably when they come in and they hear because they don't always get to do this but they come and break bread with our people and they hear the men stand up and share from the word of god they just go that is so so special we never get to see that too much and some of these people live on basis and they don't get to see that but that is what they feel is really special is when they see the man stand up and share from the word of god what Christ is done again this is one of the places um that we shared with um where we taught the lessons in another village uh with this man his name's Gibson you can pray for Gibson he's been teaching the word of god but most of the men have moved away and um gone to the coast to go get jobs so we just pray that a local church will be established there he preaches about every other week and uh goes to a kind of a Pentecostal church um that's where most of the men going for the years before we came anyway we praise the lord that he came to know the lord and that uh he loves to teach and share the word some of you may know the book um king of glory i don't know if anybody here have heard the book king of glory i forget the man who's um he's been a full-time missionary um speaks around the churches around in here in the states and um anyway it's translated in the trade language so we're able to show that and uh our people uh this is basically inside our local church inter-chappled and just some of the believers there who love to come and uh here we have to share with him pray for this guy too his whole family is not saved and uh he always comes out faithfully just pray that he'll be a wetness he's a shy guy um this lady on the left is she nice she's from Toronto um originally from hong kong and um just pray for her she does a lot of traveling there's a ministry with four professionals and she encourages professionals to come and with a short term a full term to come and um do their user talents for the lord in her case she's a dentist and uh so she's working on my teeth and uh we're just thankful to the lord it's amazing what she does she's just a dentist local dentist and sometimes men of this isn't typical but in the northern provinces they fight more and she said one guy came in literally somebody cut him across his mouth with a bush knife and he was holding his jaw down here and she's thinking i'm not a surgeon or anything like that but she wired them all up and put them all back together and uh so anyway pray for her uh this is what the lord is blessed our mission with recently it's just a small it's a little bigger in the four-wheeler but um we thank the lord for missionaries are able to go in and out and uh our missionaries are all over the over-popping in the lowlands where there's lots of mosquitoes into the highlands where there's volcanoes and there's actually dorm and volcanoes where people have moved into the mouth of a huge volcano grow their gardens there moved into there and now we have three missionary families who live in the mouth of a dorm and volcano anybody want to go there and join them um appreciate your prayers for our youngest daughter dan uh dan that's not our dog uh it's dan and jenn jenns are youngest daughter and um they have three kids and they feel the lord's leading to be involved in mission aviation uh dan just finished with his commercial license um and everybody's saying he's doing a great job he's very serious about it and so he's taking his instructors now to build up more hours and then lord willing they'll be down in arizona doing some mission training there to fly down there and uh eventually maybe in pop and guinea or indonesia wherever the lord leads them oh sorry i'll go back one here um pray for our daughter julie she has some issues with um mites and parasites it's really been bought us into her um and she lives in orlando or lives in florida and my son up top and left he lives here he has some some issues too and appreciate prayers for him and in the bottom is peter and zeros they're their daughter and they live in winds material and they have a family there appreciate your prayers for them of course we want to see all of our seven grandkids come to know the lord and finally pray for there's a lot of places like this in pop and guinea where there's mudslides you may have heard of saw the news a few months back where the mud came down after many rains and covered the highway and covered people's homes and took out um i'm not sure how many is possibly as high as 2,000 people are under the mud and uh so it was a really sad time but there's some christians in that area and we're just praying that the gospel goes out and that people be saved so as we cross the pacific ocean um gens in alberta we went there our daughter julie in florida and then up to zeron winzer and home to noviscosa and lord willing everything comes together towards the end of next month we'll be headed back again so we appreciate your prayers this is not popular guinea um yeah so it was the first time i was really in alberta so i said i got to go to bamp and i got to go see some of the mountains there so jenn took us out there and um this is our little fellowship hey got christian fellowship that's the trade language not the cafe um pray for them um there's lots of things that seitan wants to do to hinder them and uh we're just praying that the lord will continue to work and that um especially pray that as we train them that they'll be ready to reach out to other villages to take the gospel to their to these other people keep praying we thank the lord for god's for god's people who are praying for us all the time i know i i i rush for these things because um so many slides but we really do thank the lord's people for praying for us we know that we're far apart but um we've had some health issues and yet god has sustained us and given us a strength and we pray for you guys as well and we're just excited when we hear you going up in the streets sitting streets here and um seeing other people come to know the lord jesus christ if you have any other questions afterward i'd be happy to answer any questions let's just found a word for her our heavenly father we thank you so much again today for um again holding the word of god in our hands and father as we come together from week to week during the middle of the week father as we um fellowship together we're thankful that we can look into your word and that we can share truths as we heard them this morning and father in your word we find comfort as we face difficult times father we thank you that um we look in the book of deuteronomy we see that wherever we go you told us not to fear or to be dismayed you told your people years ago because you are always with them and father we thank you that you are a god who keeps his promises and father whatever we may face we just thank you that you are there and and we thank you so much for this local assembly we thank you for the family of god brothers and sisters and christ that we can stand and be strong and we just thank you and father again this morning for each one that's common ask your blessing in jesus name i pray amen thank you
