Luke Egan - Australia - World Pro Surfer / Elite Surfing Coach

Episode 93- Its an absolute honour to welcome to the podcast World Pro Surfer Luke Egan. Born in Newcastle Australia, he started learning how to surf at the age of 7 years old as a member of the Merewether Board Riding club with the guidance of his father Sam Egan. Sam used to own a family surf shop in Newcastle is still creating high quality surf boards. Luke was apart of the ASP World Tour for 22 years and won 4 world tour events- 1997 Quicksilver Pro, 2000 Quicksilver Pro Bali, 2002 Boost Mobile Pro and 2004 Billabong Pro Manduka. Luke was runner up in the 2000 season and top 5 in 5 seasons. He has featured in surfing movies throughout his career. In 2005 Luke retired from Pro surfing and was the Marketing Manager Director for Billabong. In 2008 he was the Elite coach for World Championship Surfer Joel Parkinson.
