Luke Nelson; Sports Chiro

from Peak Endurance · host Isobel Ross

This podcast is the first in a series on the different physical therapies that runners can use to help keep them running. Today I am talking to Luke Nelson, a sports chiropractor. Luke has a special interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation, in particular running biomechanics and injuries. He has worked with a number of elite and Olympic athletes from a wide variety of sports including Australian Rules football, athletics, water polo, golf, triathlon, cricket, athletics, ice hockey, volleyball and soccer, so he knows what he’s talking about! He talks with us about common running injuries, how chiropractic can help, the difference between chiro and physio, and an easy to do test that runners can do to ascertain their calf strength which can then help to avoid injuries. I hope you find the chat as informative as I did! His contact details are: @healthhighperformance @sportschiroluke https://www.healthhp.com.au/ https://www.facebook.com/healthhighperformance/?ref=br_rs The link to the calf test video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyKDI1ZcROs&feature=youtu.be
