Luke The Doctor

In this series of podcasts, the Accord Team, Rebecca, Naomi and Clare examine the lives of Biblical personalities and their significance to us. We discover that Luke was not one of the 12 disciples but was a Greek physician who lived in Antioch, a Greek gentile territory city in ancient Syria. He was a disciple of Paul and was responsible for recording the most detailed description of the birth of Jesus and the most descriptive death and resurrection account. Altogether he wrote a third (52 chapters) of the New Testament but is only mentioned three times. We learn why Luke invested all this time to record these narratives and history at this time.
