Luken's Legacy Lives Through Kindness | Toledo News
from Toledo News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Fourteen years old, gone too soon — Luken Boyle’s tragic death from cyberbullying nine years ago ignited a movement. His family turned grief into purpose, launching the Luken T. Boyle Campaign for Kindness to champion empathy and intentional kindness. Every year on the anniversary of his passing, they host a free, community-driven kindness rally — no money asked, just hearts and actions. This year’s event, July 23rd in Hensville, features performances by The Voice’s Max Boyle and the Central Catholic Irish Dance Team, plus speeches from Mayor Kapszukiewicz and Luken’s mom, Samantha. First 25 donors of canned goods, hygiene items, or diapers get free Mud Hens game vouchers — kindness in action, all in Luken’s name.
