Lunar Mosaic Imaging: Multi‑Feature Observations

from NASA on Soundcloud Hosted by NASA

During the lunar flyby that occurred on April 6, 2026, the Artemis II crew flew around the Moon aboard the Orion spacecraft. While the crew was taking more than 10,000 photos, they also recorded more than eight hours of voice notes of what they were seeing real time. The following clips have been lightly edited for length and clarity. They include clips used in the Houston We Have a Podcast episode, “Recordings from the Far Side of the Moon” where lunar scientists discussed how they use these recordings in research.
