Sorry Not Sorry. Ya know, I hate that phrase. You're not sorry. You don't have to say you're not sorry. Just say what you mean and be done with it. None of this "sorry not sorry" shenanigans. The "S" word is such a bad word. Don't be sorry. Just say SHIT. People feel the constant need to apologize for the most mundane things. "Sorry I took so long." "Sorry I didn't make it" "Sorry, you brought me the wrong drink." "Sorry I said that" Man the over apologies one comes across is insane. Heck, maybe you over-apolgize yourself. Then when someone points it out to you, you say "SORRY!" Dude, just abide. Do your thing and don't look back. Don't make your life a constant apology. I mean why do you do that anyway? To be polite? To try and not hurt the other person? Man, ya gotta be an asshole. At least a little bit. At least enough to stop people pleasing and acting guilty when someone else fucks up or makes a mistake. That's the worse, man. Saying sorry when someone did YOU wrong. Gotta stop that shit. It's okay to be imperfect.Don't try to hide those imperfections behind the "S" word. And certainly don't try to make yourself a scapegoat just to try and make the other person feel better. Have some dignity, dude. And you know what? They're just gonna lose respect you. The more you apologize, the more respect you lose in a person's eyes. It's like you can't ever just do something without feeling guilty about it. Just do you, man. Just abide. Don't apologize. Well, to be fair, I don't mean EVER. Like there are definitely situations or circumstances where an apology is absolutely necessary. But... There are very, very few cases you should actually say you're sorry. That's a word that should be used extremely sparingly. 'Cause I mean face it, the more you use it, the less meaning it has. If you're always sorry about everything, then you're never really sorry about anything. -- Read more in the full blog: http://www.procrastin8r.com/blog/sorry Subscribe to the Newsletter: http://www.procrastin8r.com/subscribe
