Lvl 74: Accept your Natural 2020 Laziness and Build a Brighter Future

from The ProcrastiN8r Podcast

New year. New content. We're now officially un_bleeping_ censored. Listener discretion is advised. Your future is full of laziness. Let's be realistic. New Year's Resolutions are BULLSHIT. You're NOT gonna lose that weight. You're NOT gonna build a new business You're NOT gonna learn a new instrument. And why is that? Well, it's because you identify and see yourself as a lazy procrastin8r. Lazy ProcrastiN8rs don't exercise hard Lazy ProcrastiN8rs don't work hard. And we don't eat healthy. We will accomplish beating several new video games and watching several new series on Netflix in this upcoming year And good! You should be proud of that. Be proud of what you can do and will do. If you try to do something that a lazy procrastin8r simply does not do, by the very definition, you'll fail. And that is because your goal does not match the identity you believe yourself to fulfill. You create a counter-productive situation. You're basically trying to get a frog to fly instead of leap. Most of the work in a goal is identifying as the type of person that accomplishes a specific goal you have in mind naturally. You can identify as a "fitness" freak for example, and it would be natural for you to want to eat healthy and want to hit the gym because that's just part of who you are. It's not something you work towards or try hard for. When it comes to successfully reaching a goal, it's NOT about what you do, or try to do, but who you see yourself as and the behaviors associated with that specific identity. You can change this identity eventually but first you must ACCEPT who you are in the present and perform the actions and behaviors that meet that role. You can then re-write the script..later. Accomplishing your goals is just laying down and using your imagination. So lay on down in your PJs, lazy procrastin8r and relax this new year, imagining who you could be!
