Lyme Week: The Basics

from Today’s Gut Health Tip · host Melissa Hall Klepacki, M.Ac.

All week I'm talking about Lyme Disease...the fastest growing vector born disease in the US with over 300,000 cases to be diagnosed this year. I was diagnosed in 2014 after being sick and undiagnosed (despite a week at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota) for 5 years. Lyme Disease (not Lyme's) has been diagnosed in all 50 states in the US and in over 80 countries. There is alot to learn this week so buckle up and take notes.  If you or someone you know has had a myriad of misdiagnosed symptoms it could very well be Lyme Disease or one of the co-infections.  Listen in all week as we take a deep dive into Lyme. And please share with loved ones.  Awareness can lead to prevention or early treatment which is key to recovery.   A few links for you: https://www.lymedisease.org/lyme-basics/lyme-disease/about-lyme/ Sponaugle, R.
