Lynn Adler and Bill Shapiro

from Coffee & Culture with Matthew Chase-Daniel · host Matthew Chase-Daniel

Lynn Adler and Bill Shapiro Lynn Adler spent time in the early 1970s in Petaca, a small village in Northern New Mexico. She photographed her transplant counter-culture friends, and the long-standing local community.  Now more than 50 years later, she and (former LIFE magazine editor) Bill Shapiro have put together a book of the photos and accompanying writings. The photos are being shown in an exhibition at Obscura in Santa Fe. Host Matthew Chase-Daniel chats with them about putting together a book, how Petaca and New Mexico has changed, and experiences of working as an activist and as a photographer.
