The resulting B-pictures were so successful that they reportedly saved Universal studios from bankruptcy. Since then, Ma and Pa have been making new friends and fans with every passing generation. Born in Upstate New York, Lon was raised on the West Coast, in Southern California. Lon and Debra Davis, a team since 1978, live with their unstable dog and ultra-relaxed cat in Lake Oswego, Oregon, not far from Portland.
