In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, this is your host Raven. Welcome to the Supernatural Hour Podcast.
This is Moon. This is Chad. This is Whiskey. This is Malmer.
This is Drake. And this is Doc making a cameo. We're glad to have you here. So if you've listened to the Supernatural Hour for a while, I want you guys to realize that every host is here today, every single one of us.
Which is good because we have always recorded either in person or through Zoom. And we are doing this through Discord now because we get a better product. So it's a good day to have everybody on because we got everybody on and settled and figured out. So yay us.
I think everybody's ever been together. I know. The special day. Alright, Chad, I think we got some business.
We do have business and we just got it today. In fact, it is up on the advancedparanormal.com site. And it's up on Eventbrite. I haven't even had a chance to put it out to our patrons yet or to our own team members.
We are going to the Benson Grissmill on Friday, July 19th at 8.30 PM. We're really excited about this. That's been a couple of years since we've been to the Grissmill. June 2022.
So it is a great venue. It's historic. There's lots of buildings to go to. We're going to limit it to 30 people.
The site could hold a whole lot more than that. But 30 should be a good. We'll set up three or four groups. It'll be great.
There are a lot of venues there. Oh, and you know, the fun thing about the Grissmill is I bet you I've been there a dozen times and there are still buildings and areas there that I have not investigated at yet. So. Yeah, it's old historic.
So there's an old Grissmill. There's a blacksmith shop. There's a dressmaker shop. The Loom Room that Doc has had experiences in.
That's where the girl followed Doc around with the K2 meter all night. Yeah, so it's going to be a great event. So that's what we got for the business. This is my first place that I went with you guys.
So I'm really excited. I got two EDPs from there. So we. Probably where I've had the most interesting paranormal experiences as well.
Oh, absolutely. So patrons were setting up a Discord channel, exclusive dinner invitations and investigations and guests on the podcast for our patrons. Do you want to say some more about that, Raven? Yeah, so for the Patreons, we have our Discord channel set up.
We will get those invites sent out by the time you hear this. Those should be out or very soon. When you log in, feel free to look around and see what's there. If you have any problems, just shoot me a message and we'll get you fixed up.
As far as our patron dinner, we have the venue. We just need to clear it, but it's going to be super fun. I'm not going to say it on the podcast because you need to be a patron to know where the super secret patron location is. Denny's.
It's your local Denny's will be at your local Denny's. I don't want to give too much information out about it, but it'll be very cool. And they've all been fantastic. We bring the main dish and drinks and utensils and y'all bring sides and I have never been disappointed.
It's always been fantastic. And this is a free investigation for the patrons and depending upon the patron level, they're able to bring multiple people with them. So it's really a great time. Yeah, we eat dinner and then it's just kind of a free for all.
So if you've been on public investigations with us before, the patron investigation, we don't necessarily rotate. You're just kind of on your own wherever you want to go. So they're real laid back, real relaxed and a lot of fun. And also just so you know, we've already started booking stuff for October.
So this season it's coming upon us. Yeah, you had one of the library's contacts you the other night, didn't you? Yes. So we've got one scheduled, the other two are in the works getting scheduled.
It's starting to get spooky season. That library was so much fun and such a cool library. I'm starting back. And this year, so they've had, you remember where they had the, where we do the little thing, the presentation down stairs.
The presentation down stairs are actually going to have the presentation upstairs this year where there's a little bit more room. So that will be nice. So the business is brought to you by Castle Photo Art. Go to Castle for all your photo needs.
And what are we going to do cool with Castle? You pick truth. For the team. Yeah, we're going to get Team Pictures.
I just need to have five minutes to send him a text. I want to start a group text, but Castle hates group texts more than anything he would rather be eaten by a bear than slowly than beyond group texts. So what's up as house ready? You'd be fine with that.
You'd be putting on a group text. Hell hath no fury like Castle in a group text. He's going to be doing my wedding photos and is like, my five minutes of texting. Awesome.
Just don't put him in a group text for heaven's eggs, whatever you do. Yeah. We can't even do like a family group text. He has a meltdown.
So that's okay. We'll have our things and we'll have not our things. We are going to start doing most haunted in different states. We're not going to do all 15 in a row.
We'll shake them up a little bit, but we are going to start with most haunted in Massachusetts today. And we are sponsored by Oteo. They are actually, if you wanted to go there, they're taking a little sabbatical because they're having a new location open up. So if you go to eat there and they're not there, never fear they are coming back, but they are amazing.
Is it going to be your location? Yes, the bigger location and closer to our house. So that will be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Further from my house then.
I'm just around the corner. No. So we're going to talk about the most haunted in Massachusetts. And I just tell you what, the whole state is just haunted everywhere.
And I know what you're going to say. You're going to say, oh, they're going to talk about Lizzie Borden. They're going to talk about Salem. They're going to talk about the witch trials.
No, you already know about that. We've already talked about some of those in some previous podcast. We'll go full size episodes. I know.
So we're going to delve into some of the other stuff. But I just think Massachusetts in general, because it's one of the 13 original colonies, one of the first places that was settled here. So obviously it's going to have more just because it's older. So I think that's kind of a given.
Well, there's one I want to talk about. There's one I want to talk about. But you can go for demon. Ooh.
Yeah, that's right. And you can only say it as there's no other way to say it. It's just like this weird thing. It's associated with a paranormal.
I think that we'll see if I can overcome it for this portion. But essentially, this is a cryptid that was seen by three children over the span of basically I think it was three days in total. Each sighting lines up exactly in a straight line for about like two miles. So also interesting.
They all described it the same way. And one of the children drew it, Bill Bartlett, which just I don't know why that name just sounds like something from a made up story about like old Bill Bartlett saw the alien creature. But he drew it. And as a kid and he wrote his signature and said that he swears on a stack of Bibles that he witnessed this creature alongside a long description of it.
It's known to have glowing eyes, a big rounded head, thin arms and legs with slender fingers. It was grasping on the pavement. They said it was hairless, had rough, flesh-toned skin. So like sand, papery, and in tanned appearance.
No nose or ears, no visible mouth. So if you look at the picture, it kind of has like a octopus head shape almost. I think it's the closest that I can describe it or some type of squid with no tentacles. Alternatively, looking at it does kind of look like the skull of an owl or chicken.
They kind of look the same. But I could see how some people are like, oh, well, it might be an owl that was holding something in the road or whatever. Some people said it might have been some type of small deer. Ultimately, I mean, if you look at the picture, I highly recommend just going up to Dover-Deman and seeing the picture drawn.
This kid A is talented, but B. It looks like a frog squid giraffe, baby. I don't know. How would people think that a squid owl giraffe, baby, is a small deer?
Because every deer that I have seen does not have anything to do with a squid or a frog. You gotta see more deer, Raven. That's why. Yeah, that's the interesting thing to me.
It's been written off. It was actually officially investigated by the government and written off as nothing. But it just doesn't sit right with me, right? Because if you look at the picture, it doesn't look like a deer.
I could see the color, maybe. But even if a deer gets hit by a car, I mean, it's not going to get slender fingers. And yeah, all three kids saw the same thing over the course of a few days and a straight line within two miles and this dates back into the 70s. Some people have theorized that it looked kind of like some other creatures that were sighted earlier in the 40s and 50s.
Of course, nobody has pictures of them. So back in that era of time, a lot of sightings did have kind of like a large headed big-eyed alien looking creature with slender features. So it does kind of fit into that bucket, but I'm not. You know, I don't know.
I don't know. That's all I can say about it. I don't know. I don't know what it is.
I don't know what it is. I don't know what it is. I don't know what it is. I don't know what it is.
I don't know what it is. I feel like that means we're also influenced by certain medicinal or. Hi, you know, I listen, I can't say whether or not they were I. You're the one better person because more than what people feel.
It was different kids like from 13. I think the oldest one might have been 18 that saw it the next day. So I hope not. It was the 70s, so.
Has there ever been a recurrence of the Dover Demon? Has it ever reappeared? has told me if it has. I couldn't find any recent documented instances of the Dover demon.
Yeah, the only thing that I saw was that it hadn't been any recidings of it. And I think as far as I could see, as far as real publicly, kids' picture was on a 2009 episode of Animal Planets Lost Tapes, Bill Bartlett's photo. But other than that, it really hasn't been talked about much since. So we don't know.
The Dover demon is over. Doc, did you have time to look up all over the state? I sure did. The Oliver State was located in Middleboro.
It is a house that was built in the 1760s by a judge whose name was Judge Peter Oliver. And I thought the most interesting part behind this, I mean, granted it's haunted and people say it's scary. But allegedly, Benjamin Franklin came to the home to visit the judge and found some papers that convinced Benjamin Franklin that Judge Oliver was a loyalist. After this is during the Revolutionary War, obviously.
And then after the discovery of that, eventually the Oliver's ended up fleeing to England, during the American Revolution. But just because of its history, because of the Revolutionary War ties, it sounds like people who don't investigate have had experiences of apparitions, of EDPs, of pictures coming off the walls. And I thought, you know, building this better on that long? Sure.
There's probably several people that have passed away in that home. There's definitely some energy there with the Revolutionary War history. And it might be an interesting place to check out eventually. No, absolutely.
I saw that they allowed teams to go out there for $300. That's actually not too bad, really. I know, right? All night.
That was out of time. I mean, they didn't specify. I'll end the back, everybody. Massachusetts is a long way from where I'm.
Right. All right. Well, I'm going to talk about the USS Salem. That is also known as the Sea Witch and is considered one of the most haunted ships in the world.
That's pretty bold statement. It was a US naval heavy cruiser built in the Cold War era. It never saw any combat. It did serve as a World War II triage vessel and a makeshift morgue, which sounds pretty haunting to me.
At least six people died while receiving medical care on the ship after being on an explosion on a different ship. So they were also the first, I know, they were also the first American ship to arrive in Greece after devastating earthquake where another 175 to 190 people died on board in a six week time frame. It was decommissioned and mothball, which just means it was not used anymore and pretty well preserved in 1959 in Philadelphia. In 1995, it was opened as a museum.
There are reports of unexplained footsteps, EBPs of unknown voices, chairs moving and apparitions. And with time in Greece, they have found evidence or EBPs of a young boy that speaks Greek. So that's pretty interesting. Oh, yeah.
So what does everyone know about the bridge with triangle? I've never heard of it before, honestly. So we know of the verminaturing. Yes.
It's the same thing in Massachusetts. Ooh. Pretty much just the same thing that everyone says about the brettrangle, stuff disappearing, coming out of it. There's been a number of UFO sightings, bunch and Bigfoot sightings, giant snake sightings, even when people say and seen Thunderbirds.
Not the US Air Force Thunderbirds. Like the birds? Yep. A lot of it's also been described as a big thing with cryptologists because it's a lot of rock formations that do a lot of, it's mainly a lot of paretolea because it's all the rock formations have a bunch of like faces and stuff in them.
Yeah, I could be probably a lot of that, especially if there's any kind of swampy areas next to it. Yeah. Maybe even a Native American curse on that area too. Yes.
That ties into the, into the Wampen ones. Yeah. And I think I think I read somewhere that there's a ghost in that area because like Bridgewater State University is close by and they have a ghost named George. I never met him.
I never met him. I called the activity there. I was seen. My sister's catched.
Like, the big fishes dogs come out of there and they just, as they come out they disappear, like missed. Ooh, creepy. And I think too, I say that there have been some Bigfoot sightings or big foot like sightings in that same area. Yes.
I also saw the UFO sightings date back as early as 1760, which is trippy to me. I think that people were seeing UFOs back in the 1700s. Yeah, I make sure you wonder what they thought they were. Because when you see, when you see UFOs now it's like, well, maybe it's a this or maybe it's an airplane or maybe the military's doing something or maybe it's a weather balloon or aliens.
Exactly. Because I'm close to Skimwalker. And now it's just, oh, they're just filming for the show. They have a beanie greet.
I mean, for that area, they're probably like, it's witches flying on their room. Okay, so I was interested in the spider gate cemetery, also known as friend cemetery. So that's different vibe right there, but there's these gates in the front. They're supposed to look like spider webs, but are supposed to be an art deco sunray.
I see more sunray, honestly. I need to. Right. Where's the web art?
But so apparently there's supposed to be like an altar in the middle, which is really just like a big flat rock section, where satanic rituals are being done there. And they sit, it's supposed to be one of the portals to hell. There's supposed to be seven portals to hell in the story in the area, and this is supposed to be the eighth. And then if you enter your potential, your soul will be, you know, taken from you.
But so they do, apparently people come in, do satanic rituals and practices and some other things like there was someone who took their life in a tree nearby, and they say that you can still see the rope there. It's a lot of like little tales of, you know, who I heard this, I heard that kind of like a, I grew up in a house that used to be the old hospital, or West Point, and you know, my room was down from the morgan. There was all these stories and, oh, there's this happening. So it's really more that than like big things.
There is Mr. Marmaduke Earl. It's one of the first people are buried as a Quaker. And that's a Quaker cemetery.
And it's claimed if you perform a circle ritual where you go around his gravestone 10 times at midnight and say, Marmaduke speaks to me, kneeled down and place your head on the gravestone. He'll speak to you. And sometimes you'll hear him moaning in his grave in the middle of the night. But yeah, that's like the most just of it.
It's just like little stories, little tales of it. Did you find anything whiskey or self? Because I know you were interested in looking at it too. I just know that if I walked around a gravestone 10 times at night and bent down, I would definitely hear groaning, but it would be me.
I give him my head on there and snore. You know, it reminds me of like just the vibes where, you know, as a kid grub, you go and go, ooh, cemetery. And my friends and I used to go to the cemetery down the street from our house every Halloween. And all I know is that one time I said, man, it'd be really weird if you're walking by.
And one of these person died on that day. And I literally the next one I looked at, it was someone who died on Halloween right there. So I don't know what that was about. That's how we speak here.
Then I'm feeling with the cemetery. I'm thinking, but yeah, I don't know, something called to me and said, look at me. I'm dying today. But no, you know, just pretty tame, little, little local college student stories when they go out in the middle of the night.
And I don't know. It's like a Bloody Mary in the way in the way, where Mr. Katie Mann, little stories. Oh, I think every cemetery has some creepy little story.
Well, I'm looking where we are now, Drake. So the one that kind of interested me was Hockamock Swamp, because how fun is it to say Hockamock? You got to say it 10 times. I'm sure something weird happens.
Anyway, Hockamock. So it's also referred to as the Devil Swamp and the Devil's Bowl. And this kind of came out, that's what the Puritans called it. Hockamock is an Algonquin word, and it means a place where the spirits dwell.
And the Algonquins, another Indigenous local groups believe that the swamp is magical, which freaked out the Puritans, which is why they called it the Devil Swamp and the Devil's Bowl. They say it's the site of an old burial ground. So, you know, of course, we know what happens when you start messing around with old burial grounds, but they just think that the actual spirits could just kind of bubble up in the swamp at any moment. So the Puritans didn't like it.
Also, you know, besides human spirits and demonic things that could be bubbling around in there, it's also like a cryptid haven. There's something there called Puckwajis. And this is a very prominent cryptid if you're into, and I don't, I'm not going to say this right, Wampanog folklore. So the word Puckwajis translates to little wild man of the wood that's vanishes.
So... I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna crown and say it, Raven. I feel like you've made a lot of words so far in this story. No.
Excuse me. You're just thinking about... Hockmock Puckwajianno. Here's the thing about Massachusetts, though.
They pronounce things so weird. I'm sure that I'm not pronouncing these correctly. Like, you see the word P-body. We would say it P-body.
If you're there, they say P-body. Kariquafi. Yeah, they drop R's and add A's or they're not supposed to be. So, this is a Massachusetts thing.
Thank you very much. Puckwajis, which does sound totally made up, they can fire, they can cast magic spells, they can disappear at will. They also like to throw people off cliffs, attack them with spears, and they bind their victims with pocket sand. I don't know what pocket sand is opposed to like regular sand.
I get out of the beach sometimes. Right? Right. I've got a sand story, but we'll tell you that later.
So if you are going to go through Hockmock Swamp, just for a leisurely stroll, you need to be careful because Puckwajis could get you. That sounds like an elemental vibe right there. I know, it does, doesn't it? Right?
Hey, it also has sinkholes and quicksand, so definitely watch your step. That's like floor over here. Throw rocks before you walk over something. I don't know, right?
Very. So, anyone know about the Huzik Tunnel? That's another made up work. The Huzik Tunnel?
No, the Huzik Tunnel. No, do you tell us that? So, I really couldn't find a lot on it with paranormal wise, but I did find a lot of it that's still active and it also is nicknamed the deadliest pit in the bloody pit in Massachusetts. And that just sounds a little off-putting?
The bloody pit question mark? We did too because of before it opened, they were still finishing it. It has been verified with 135 deaths and 195 accidents. Oh, wow.
And they have found this before they opened, they were able to dig a shaft down and they found a bunch of victims of the tunnel that had suffocated to death. And it has ties to the Civil War and World War I. Oh, wow. That's crazy.
Yeah, I bet you that's got all sorts of activity going on with all those things. What a death. A death there, sounds like. And it is still active.
Pierce is using it to transport trains and all that stuff on there. Ooh, spooky. Those trains. Hey, Moon.
What's up? I heard you know a little something about the SK Pierce mansion. I do. I do.
So it's a Victorian style house built between 1873 and 1875 and it is a whopping 7,000 square foot with 10 bedrooms. SK Pierce was a successful business owner of a furniture company and he built the home with his family and his wife Susan. She died just three weeks after she had moved into the mansion from a bacterial infection of some sort. And so then he mourned for a year and then one year later he married Ellen who happened to be 30 years younger than him.
I don't live back in that day. That is not for me. Of course, Chad. Look at your hot wife.
Okay. I know. I'm never in it. Okay.
Look at her. She just hit her head. All right. So, SK Pierce, 9 degrees here today.
It is pretty dang hot outside. So, SK Pierce, he had three sons and two with his younger wife, Ellen. And they hosted a bunch of different people like President Calvin Coolidge and actress Betty Davis, UT Barnum and Norman Warrockwell. And it was a meeting place for Freemason society.
And so, after the parents died, there were the three sons and they were kind of fighting about who was going to inherit the home. And the youngest ended up getting the home and his name was Edward. And Edward had fallen into some financial hardships. So, Edward turned the mansion into a boarding home with some less than proper activities such as drinking and gambling and prostitution.
And that was just a regular occurrence going on. So, allegedly, there was a prostitute that was strangled to death on the second floor in a red bedroom. And then another man burned to death in the master bedroom. And this was in 1963.
And what's really weird to me is they say, likely it's spontaneously combusted. I don't know about that. They said the rest of the room wasn't burnt. It was just where he was.
And I can think of a whole lot of other reasons why that would happen and not spontaneously busting. But anyway, that's my theory. Yes. And did he have a very, very pale skin?
Did it sparkle? I mean, there's witches, there could be vampires over there. I don't know, you know. Let's keep an open mind about things.
I think that the most vampire cases are out east. I think Rhode Island has the most on our way. I'm just saying. I've been told I'm married to a day walker because I'm married to a strawberry blonde dude.
So he's a day walker. So I don't know about the whole vampire thing, you know? Get him in here. He has not spontaneously combusted yet.
So there's a boy that is thought to have drowned in this basement. So they have tons and tons of reports. And that includes unexplained voices, chanting, full-body apparitions, furniture movie, which is pretty strong spirits there, you know? Earrings footsteps, there's sightings of Maddy Cornwell, which was one of the nannies that had lived in that home.
Al odors, drastic temperature changes, slamming doors, guys, it gets worse. Green's flying off of windows. Allianistic roar, thought to be SK peers. Like, how does that happen?
I know, that's what I thought. But they said that he's so disgruntled about the situation and where his home is at and just the state. It's in that he's roaring like a lion, I guess. Not even a lion, a lioness, it sounds like lionistic roars.
I can't do that, but yeah, it gets worse. Yeah, someone like some entity was trying to push someone down the stairs. Others have felt pushed in the home. Another person felt like they were about to be pushed out of a third story window.
Oh my gosh, that's terrifying. But one paranormal expert said that the mansion house is one of the most advanced of entities they have ever encountered. The spirits thought to have haunted this house is SK peers, who's in peers, Mike Cornwell, David, who is thought to be the strangler of the prostitute, a young boy, a young girl, the man who burned in his name is Enosari. I probably did not pronounce that right, but the only one making up words today.
E-I-N-O-S-A-A-R-I. That sounds good. Y'all give it a crack. He was from out of the country, so.
All right, sir. And they say there's additional dark entities in the basement. So this is Massachusetts, oh, the second most haunted and ninth in the whole country. So, yeah, see, this is this one that's making me go, I need to go back to Massachusetts and visit this mansion.
There's so many that we could go. We just take two weeks off of work and go hit them all. I know. So there's another mansion, the Houghton Mansion.
Doc, I think you were telling me something about this. Yeah, so this is a mansion that's located in North Adams, Massachusetts. I was built in the, it's built in 1890. The owner of the house was named our Elder Charles Putin.
The thing, the interesting story about this was his health started to get kind of diminished in early 1900s, 1905, decided to slow things down, and then eventually decided it would be a great idea to buy his first car, which was a seven passenger Pierce Arrow touring vehicle. I didn't even know they made seven passenger vehicles back in 1914, but apparently he had a servant named by the name of John Whitters, who was learning how to drive the car, decided to take the family on a little trip, and there was a tragic accident. At that time, basically, like everybody got thrown at the car except for one of the Houghton's, I believe, my name was Mary. The wife of Albert was killed, her name was trying to see if I can find her name actually.
This is Mrs. Putin. He was killed instantly in the crash. They ended up getting home.
I believe it might have been her who died about 11 days after the accident, and Mr. Whitters, the driver of the car blamed himself for the accident and for the deaths that occurred and ended up committing suicide in the basement of the house as well. He shot himself. And so you think about kind of the dark energy that happens from, you know, a bad car accident, having a death there, and then having the driver feel so guilty about it that he took his own life in the basement of a mansion.
Definitely some potential for dark energy there. Eventually, the house ended up being sold and was turned into a Masonic lodge. They built a basic way of Masonic Temple on the Garden Grounds, which was in use for quite some time. I don't know that it's still active to this day, but it sounds like, you know, there's a lot of people who have investigated over the over their years.
They've seen a lot of unusual paranormal activity there, which you would expect. Was this a, is it currently like a museum? Is it a private residence? What is it now?
Oh, yeah. That's right. So the, it's now currently a museum of contemporary art is what they were saying about the building. And so there is some public access there.
I am not sure if they actually do ghost tours or allow people to investigate at this time, but it is a place that the public can't enter. So they can't stop us? Yeah, they mean, they may not let you stay at midnight, but, you know, they couldn't stop you from going around. I suppose.
Very cool. Is that it for that? That's about all I've got. Okay, I've got one.
We've talked about a few, a few old homes that are haunted. I'm going to talk about the oldest haunted home in North America. And that would be the Fairbanks house. Any of you heard of the Fairbanks house before?
Nope. It is the oldest timber frame house in North America. And it's been proven scientifically. It was built between 1637 and 1641 by English settlers Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks.
Today, the house is museum, but it could very well be one of the oldest haunted house, the most haunted houses in America. This haunted house has actually been investigated by taps. That's the Atlantic Paranormal Society. And they're a very well-seamed paranormal group.
They went in and did a lot of investigations there. Recordines set it up and got a lot of evidence of the home. There's been all sorts of things happening in the home. There was a murder in 1801.
One of the Fairbanks son Jason was convicted of the killing of his girlfriend, Elizabeth Fales, in a nearby pasture. She had apparently spurned his marriage proposal, so he killed her. And then he was hanging from the gallows on D.A.M. Com and in one of the most sensational murder cases of the time.
So. And are we going to mention that you're related to the sale? Yeah, Doc and I are direct descendants of the Fairbanks. So I need to watch what I say about this.
I might get stabbed. So what we do have a family history of that. So I won't turn him down, Raven. So our investigation has just got a lot more exciting.
So taps spent the night investigating there. They heard footsteps at the beginning and said, we were up where their children used to sleep. The taps group made out of recordings all night and after it detected anything out of the ordinary. They told them after a view of the tapes that they had recorded sounds.
They thought it was kids because they got some laughter in the recordings. So it's a home and apparently they allow some paranormal investigating in there. And they talked about how their flashlights and different electronic equipment run out. They set up a security system and it would go off every night.
A lot of different things, a lot of activity in the house. Cell phones that go off in the middle of the night for no reason and began playing organ music. Because I don't know if if scared is the right word he said, maybe startled and confused. The ghost friend told them not to worry that if there were spirits in the house, they were likely his own family wouldn't harm him.
So the Fairbanks home is the oldest timber frame home in North America and therefore it would be probably the oldest haunted house in America. Very cool. I have a place that's kind of like a house in a way but not at all very homely. A state hospital in Massachusetts.
A metropolitan state hospital which when it was built cost 1.8 million dollars. What's the amount of money back then? Yeah like 1928 1930 type air like that's insane. It looks beautiful.
I mean it's very rundown on the outside. If you like kind of the old eastern architecture, definitely also look up some pictures. I'm telling a lot of people to look up pictures today. So that's my thing.
I think I actually operated up until 1992 which a lot of the stories of these places that we talk about you know and somewhere in like the 60s, 70s, sometimes like the 40s but this ran up to 1992. It was close just to the state's cost cutting policy of closing its mentals and moving them to private community based settings which kind of aligned with what a lot of the government in general was doing at the time. But there were some murders that took place in this hospital which also just kind of seems powerfully coarse for mentors back then. I don't know what was going on there but yeah 1978 so I'm not even way back going just in the 70s.
A patient was murdered by another patient at the hospital. After it closed 1992 it's just remained unused until they started redevelopment in 2007. So they've like kind of repurposed some of it to residential use which sounds like a place we could have a house call to and then we never leave. But I don't know about you guys.
If we got a house call and the address was a old mental hospital, I'd be a little on edge showing up. I know right? Just saying but yeah that the grounds surrounded are open to the public. Some of the buildings have been knocked down.
Yeah they're redeveloping some of it and I think that they plan to rebuild a separate hospital sometimes even kind of in that same. But yeah I pretty much just wanted to go to Massachusetts now and the funny thing is you know when I was researching for this there are even more places than this that we didn't even talk about and we could be talking about haunted Massachusetts for another hour. But I think we'll just go ahead and cut it off here. I think if I were to pick one of these places to go to I honestly think Pierce Ampton would be my my first kind of go to.
I my recent history I have fallen down the stairs and she did say the people who have pushed on stairs. So I don't know if I would go there. No we have to we have to have a garden on you because he still can cast so ignore half the stuff he says he's still crazy. We're gonna have to put him in a bubble.
I'll be a leash kid at the next location. Come on Whiskey this way. Okay so with you speaking of what kind of equipment information do you have for us? Let me tell you about someone.
Tell you about one thing before I fell down the stairs. I bought some new night vision and I already had some kind of older night vision which was pretty good. It's active and passive night vision so it can use just the ambient light to get really really clear pictures without doing any air boosters. But a lot of the new stuff that you can buy is essentially a very sensitive camera with a strong infrared kind of flashlight attached to it that lights everything up.
While this sounds pretty normal what it will actually do is get you a lot of fake orbs to debunk because it's the same as just going with a really bright flashlight and it's going to catch everything between A and B. Especially when you adjust your focus points so funny story when I was first testing it out. I did witness something paranormal. I was looking up at the sky while I was focusing in.
I saw so much dust in so many bugs that I A did not want to go outside again but B looking up at the stars once I was focusing on something flash a couple times and then just fly straight up in a way so might have saw a UFO. That's just something to keep in mind when you're using night vision is depending on where you're focused you're definitely going to pick up every little piece of dust that your standard camera that's not blasting light out away is going to pick up things that you won't see with your naked eye. I mean you won't you can't tell. Looking at the security camera footage that we had to also use the same type of night vision with just a bright infrared light from family tree.
You can see a lot of dust. You can definitely tell when somebody's walking on the main floor from the basement camera. So if any of you out there are kind of getting into night vision photography or recording with some of the night vision that's kind of more accessible in the market just keep in mind when you got that infrared light on there's going to be a lot of orbs to debunk. And if you want you can check our website or attend one of our nice little presentations at the libraries and we kind of talk a little bit about how to debunk different orbs you see the shapes of them the way that they travel definitely come handy.
So check us out there and that's the whiskey barrel. I don't know we'll try some new segments. I can't wait a while. That's your shot of whiskey.
That's not about it. All right. So investigations as we've talked about over the years it's either feast or famine and we kind of have a feast this time. We actually have two residential scheduled one is tomorrow and one is Friday.
Today's a Tuesday. So at our next podcast we'll definitely have those two residential to talk about. But Chad and I just got back from France. We went there.
I play backpipes and the bagpipe van that I play with was invited to go play for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. We had a free day in Paris and so I thought we are going to go and investigate the catacombs. We did get into the catacombs. They are amazing.
I just had all sorts of gdiness about it. I did take my dowsing rods but it's one of those things. Remember when we went to the Cairo Museum and I was going to investigate the mummies and I don't know something just said don't. Kind of the vibe I got was the mummies when we had millions of people that come and stare at us were trying to rest in peace just leave us alone and I honestly got that same kind of feeling of catacombs.
I've just you know what stop. So I didn't. That being said and they wouldn't let us touch the bones which is fine. That's fine too.
I was very tempted but I did not. That being said they only sell so many tickets per day and they're in like 15 minutes segments or I don't remember but you can't buy them earlier than seven days prior and they're just the whole time we were down there Chad they were probably not more than about what five, six, seven other people. Yeah and some of them went quicker than we did. We kind of lagged.
We lagged and some of them went ahead of us. There might have been one or two groups like that of six or seven people so we were down there in the catacombs pretty much alone most of the time. Right so you know we had a lot of time just kind of to ourselves but even though there weren't that many people down there you could feel just wall to wall spirits and when you think that there's about what they say six million six million people's bones down there? I think it might be more than that.
I mean it was I was flabbergasted and we only saw just a portion you know and when you read about the catacombs it says there's great big rooms we weren't in any great big rooms. I think we were in like the official you know area there's some unofficial areas I think that have some bigger rooms but still just the amount of bones that were in there was just overwhelming. If you're a pete. I was gonna say a lot of these rooms there were femurs stacked six feet high and the walls were like 20 feet wide and they're about 10 feet deep and then all the crush bones and all the other things were stacked in behind them and there were rooms and rooms and rooms like that weren't there.
Oh yeah it just went on and on and there's areas that were gated off that you couldn't go down but you could look and see that there was just even more and it was just it was cool and you could feel I mean even though I could only see Chad and there was a couple that we were kind of hanging out with from our group at times there was just the four of us but it just felt like there were literally thousands of people in there. I kind of wanted to turn sideways and I'm like why am I turning sideways? There's there's pads of room here but it was super cool so if you guys ever have the chance to go to the catacombs if you're in Paris I highly highly recommend it not that expensive. Is it quite a little over an hour?
Yeah and there's stairs going down that like a circular staircase going down and it goes down for what feels like forever you think you're gonna get sick because you're going in circles you're gonna get dizzy but then you finally get to the bottom and then when you have to climb back up you have to climb up those same amount of stairs and about two thirds of the way I feel like oh my gosh my butt had better just look fantastic by the time I get out here because I have so many stairs but that's the one place I told I told Chad I said the one place that I want to buy something from is from the catacombs gift store and I don't care how much it is so I spent more money on a hoodie than I've ever spent on a hoodie in my lifetime but we're okay with that aren't we Chad? Yes yes we're okay we're all okay with it here. That means that we have some really cool pictures on our patreon uh discord channel so if you want to see those um just hop onto our website and go become a patreon. All right did you get to tell them about your hotel?
Oh yeah that's telling about your hotel investigations. Patience patience patience okay so I didn't not do any ghost hunting honestly we didn't have time some days but the hotel we stayed in I forget the name was Little Hotel but it was in Normandy pretty close to St. Mary Eglies and some of the hotel was a little bit newer but the area that our room was in was old and off to the side was another circular staircase there's a ton of stairs in France let me just tell you that I climbed up some of these stairs I thought I'd never want to see a stair again I digress so one of the kids there's a teenager in the group and he hit me up at dinner and he's like he'd been down to the basement of that staircase I might know he's like he's totally creepy dude I go down there. He and his sister and the wife of another piper and me and there two kids we went down there and we ghost hunted we weren't we didn't officially ask we just thought we got caught we just played them asked for forgiveness I like what so we went down there and there was a couple spirits down there the one that we talked to was actually Canadian he fought in World War II didn't either he died of old age but he actually married he went home to Canada after the war came back and married a French woman that he had met and died in France so that's why he was there we asked if he wanted to cross he said no he was happy to be in there so we let him be there and we skedaddle pretty quick before we got caught down there because there was there's a door down there that the employees would use and they did open the door at one point we just kind of stared around aimlessly and they looked at us weird and left so we figured we probably shouldn't stay down there for too long but then we did Moon has two sheds in her yard we'll let her talk about them because they're her sheds so my husband is an avid builder of all kinds of things and he decided to build two giant sheds in what we call our junkyard and so normally he doesn't feel anything or anything but as he's out building like when he's turning everything off at night he kind of gets some spooky feelings out there and I was like oh that's interesting so I took Raven outside after I did her Nells one day and I was like do you feel anything like maybe it would be fun to investigate our sheds and so she did find some at least three spirits maybe for it as she walks through and yeah so she found those and so I'm like all right sweet so we had a team meeting and we ate we hunted I kind of want to hear your guys's perception of sheds since it was my home like I want to hear y'all's story about it well just that first day when he took me out you know the first shed that we just got the feeling of a woman and then we got a feeling of two kids but the kids were more residual than intelligent haunts and then we went to the other shed and there was a man in there and my day I mean I wasn't having a bad day it wasn't a great day it was just kind of a day a little bit of stress but I went into that second shed where the man was and I just I don't know what he was trying to do or say because we didn't need ghost hunting equipment but I just wanted to laugh uncontrollably and I was like I don't know why I'm wanting to laugh uncontrollably because nothing has happened today it's not like oh something happened earlier and I remembered it that's making me laugh again I mean nothing but he just wanted to for some reason he was just making me laugh hysterically so whatever that was but whiskey you know you were there I sure was there let me tell you let me tell you about those little sheds all right so we it was pretty tame it's pretty tame little silly goofy time until the sun went down shortly after Raven left we started kind of just trying to test this method up there I started out listening to it and it went from just sporadic answers to like it too many people talking it was wild and then I heard just like a demonic growl come across and I took that and I was like hey so like something weird is happening I think it's just more than just the two girls and the guy talking goes right now and the girls were pretty funny they did I want to be called ladies of the night but they were not prostitutes they were very specific they did not get paid they just enjoyed their lifestyle as far as like going on the podcast without us getting a move to a different site they only like taking men I was saying they think as well wasn't like there then we had Kristi you know try to try it out and that's his method again just if you guys are unaware we talked about on previous podcast but you blindfold yourself unless it was bearbox was just scanning radio stations really really really fast and that's all you can hear so you can't see anybody in your room there's no external influence on what you're saying you just say any words you hear Kristi was answering our questions instantly like insane and then like saying things related what we were talking about even when we weren't asking questions directly and then the vibe shifted and Kristi said open it a itc device said close it and then another one said demon all within like 10 seconds and so at that point I was like oh I'm gonna get my cleansing get really quick because that's a strange series of three things to say back to back and so I walk out to go get that Kristi has no idea that I've left the room or anything and as I'm walking back in just as I like breached the threshold of the little upstairs area I always have my camera around my neck and the word that Kristi says right then is photographer which is a wild word to say at random if you're just throwing things out there so if you're describing me when I walked in the room it's definitely photographer told us to get out a bunch of other things to not do it and then Kristi eventually we started cleansing the room before we told Kristi anything that's happening but then she started feeling kind of weird right when we started cleansing the room and kind of and came out of it we learned our lesson about you know checking the structure to make sure we find all the holes before we cut it so we locked out the box easily but it took us like a second shot at the top and we nailed it we got it out we went and I went and found a portal closed it off and then I think the funniest part was at the end of the night we were just kind of in the top area again just chatting about what happened because it went wild all of a sudden just out of nowhere and I feel a poke I think Kristi felt a poke in our backs and it was them telling us that we forgot that they wanted to cross over so we had to handle that portion as well but yeah it was it was it was crazy it went from just like a light-hearted silly time to almost right when the sun went down and we had barely mentioned something about crossing over it just dumped gas on the fire and got crazy well and the funny thing is you know it was a meeting and we had dinner and so I brought my youngest daughter with me and she's gonna get into ghost hunting and she'll be 13 so that this will be a pretty tame ghost hunt and it was tame when she was there but then I took her home a little early because it was getting to be bedtime and came home and I thought oh that's just a cute little ghost hunt and then moon texted and she was like holy cow I'm so glad you took her home and it did because it turned dark and I was like oh well also yeah so that was about to say like we're walking him out and then I was right behind him and then I turned to go put food in the truck or whatever and he thought I was pulling on his backpack or pushing him and he turned around and shocked to see that I wasn't there and so I got a little I have a ring camera and you can just see his head like pull back just a little bit when he thought it had happened and so caught like the littlest I don't know that's stupid spirit knew when to pull his backpack and it wouldn't be in full frame of the camera but we did catch a little bit it was it was really interesting he made sure nothing felt followed him home after that he's like thanks for the reminder yeah so I think that is it for investigations this time but look forward to our two residents I think I know for sure one of them will be pretty hot and so we'll see what the other one is we did marker cemetery oh that's right so we also did marker cemetery as a public event you know any investigation that you do sometimes it can just be hopping and sometimes it can be pretty quiet and moon I think I think we can both agree that we had activity and sometimes the activity at marker is been really dark but it was really kind of tame yeah it was we got a bunch of good k2 activity like I ended up bringing my son and he's never been on a ghost hunt and he was holding a k2 and I just said hey bud can you just light that up for him because he's never seen anything like this you know and so just right after I said that he this spirit held it on for like 15-20 seconds on red it was crazy and we're out in the middle of nowhere you know and like nothing was lighting up before so we just had a lot of that activity where we did get some k2 hits one of our guests he ended up feeling like his jacket was pulled on toward the middle or toward the end of the night and that was really interesting I think we were possibly dealing with a type 3 that was just not happy that there was a male present this guy seems pretty sensitive and he kept feeling like he was not happy he was there and trying to him to leave yeah but in general I mean we got a lot of hits on the k2 we got some flashlights going on but I think that's the tamest I've ever had it at marker the creepiest thing was there's a doll in the middle of the cemetery but the skull all crack open and just sitting there with some sunglasses on so I'm appreciating that yeah that was that was just kind of spooky in general yeah hey are you guys feeling hot you know it goes well when you're feeling hot short sleeve shirts from it's fansparanormal.com that's right you probably remember me from telling you guys get hoodies well now you got to need a short sleeve shirt if you're gonna show up at the yet patreon meetup now check us on youtube tick tock join us on patreon and come uh come see our silly goofy new discord we put stuff in there a lot of stuff in there and my setups and time to release my evidence for live with us.
Okay so our junk drawer today after our trip to France the couple that we were kind of hanging out with they're still in Scotland right now they kind of moved on and they sent this thing to me from den robin castle which is about 60 miles I think north of inverness and it's kind of it's kind of interesting so there's a room there called the haunted room it's 15th century and the story goes that the Earl of Sutherland captured a beautiful young girl from the mckay clan after battle and he locked her up in this room and it's next to the night nursery. The story goes that he wanted to marry her but she refused and one night he came to a room and tried to find her uh trying to escape down a rope of sheets he cut the rope down causing her to fall and she's supposed to be her weeping and wailing but no one has heard her in living memory however the floor below there's been heard and unearthly set of footsteps and so they say that they have a story with no ghost and a ghost with no story so there you go. So I like to try to represent like talk about like a little stone thing that is something to do with whatever he's like done or encountered or going on so I just came back from 11 day cruise to Norway and Iceland um part of that was to svalbard to longhurv and which is the most northern town that exists up in the Arctic Circle area and they're known for uh like what a like coal mining so I was like okay what kind of properties and such does coal have. It turned out really hard to find that because the internet inching coral from what I could find um pretty basic was it has planetary elemental correspondence is with a planet Saturn and the elements of earth which makes sense it's quite earthy and spiritual and mystical traditions cool is often seen as having grounding and protection properties it kind of reminds me of like a tiger's eye I suppose and it's sometimes used in crystal healing for its ability to absorb negative energy instead of it can bring luck and money too um so I'm feeling like maybe it might be good to take on an uh you know an investigation to uh to absorb the negative energy of the vibes or I don't know I got it as like a little necklace and a little tube from uh some bonger bin a little cool so that's the basic gist of that.
Cute! That's cool a little like a city and maybe. Yeah yeah so I uh art and jet kind of the same thing coal that's interesting yep I uh took some little chunks that I found on the ground and also I had the necklace but I found the chunks after the necklace purchasing otherwise I was just the kid of my own thing but yeah no a little souvenir but it was definitely a different vibe than my 989 degree temperature that feels like 104 with humidity here not like that but shouldn't like two days from now I'll be up and you taught it's hot there but it's not 989 feels like 104 hot so moon what do you got for us? I got a moon tell for y'all um well it's not really my tell but it's a tell from moon and I was scrolling through TikTok as people do and I found a really interesting discovery that was made in 2014 and it totally just knocked me okay so as anyone ever heard that we have an underground ocean thought to me three times the size of our earth's surface's oceans combined I don't know really cool okay I'll give you I'll give you the deep sound okay I have a moon tell for you and today I want to talk about as I was rolling through TikTok like a couple weeks ago I saw this discovery made in 2014 that was really interesting and kind of blew my mind so has anyone ever heard that we have an underground ocean thought to be three times the size of our oceans on the earth's surface combined it's not that like sewage lines is it I hope not as disgusting okay I know Chad always knows like science stuff so let's let's see what he knows about this as I go on so ocean is a Saturn or Jupiter isn't it uh I forget which one I uh I forget which one but isn't there one of the moons that's gonna be a water moon?
I'm talking about the earth today okay you're talking about moons yeah this is not a segment I'm moon but I'm not talking about the moon today okay I worry about this giant ocean on earth that's not a water ocean I'm so sorry I'm just confusing everyone today and it's just a day y'all hey earth tells with moon so the ocean is located 400 miles underground the water source is in a blue rock called ringwood eye inside the earth's mantle it's not in the form of a solid gas or liquid but in a fourth molecular structure of water contained in the mantle rock um so it's like milk inside of a cake if you will um ringwood eye is like a sponge soaking up water and the watery rock deep inside the earth was discovered by scientists from northwestern university using seismometers to measure the waves that were generated by earth earthquakes not earth but earthquakes across the us in their research they found these waves were only on the earth's surface but moving through the earth's core so they have discovered ringwood eye can hold up to 1.5 of water and they haven't been able to access this very much but there was a volcano that erupted that shot out just a little tiny bit of this ringwood eye and so when they went to analyze it they weighed it and it had the 1.5 water weight and so pretty interesting if ringwood eye under the surface has just 1% of water molecularly that would mean it holds three times more water than all the oceans on the earth's surface combined so as of now researchers only found ringwood eye under the us but they would like to further investigate to see if it's around the entire earth science initially thought water came from a comet or asteroid but these researchers believe this underground source replenishes the oceans keeping their levels pretty consistent which was pretty interesting to me because thought something you really think about but then you're like oh that kind of makes sense you know they say that water is a conductor of spiritual energy you know the spirits can use water to you know if you're around water if there's a rainstorm so i wonder if i mean if that is found under the United States i mean is that something does that mean the United States is a little has the potential to have more spirit energy or is it like actually the underworld well i thought it's not like rivers and everything i'm just saying it's underwater i like that yeah right totally um we have scientists Stephen Jacobsen he theorizes that they tic tonics through plate tic tonics and seduction water can be squeezed out of the rocks below and scientists believe there's a mantle transitional zone that acts as a large reservoir to replenish our oceans oh pretty interesting stuff that i found at least to me so it'd be interesting to see if they're able to finally map this out and see if there's any correlation of higher spirit energy with where these deposits are found hey unlike does the moon that influences the tide of our ocean also influence like the tide of this ringwoodite causing earthquakes i'm saying interesting i like the theories i like the theories i find it together um so if any of you guys have some moon stories i'm still waiting i have not had one person email me people oh if you want to share a moon story with me or want me to talk about something astronomically or something like that email me at apps.wist.contact at gmail.com and then we have a sponsorship from you guessed it new don hit no therapy Lara Dong CCHT specializes in mental and emotional emotional control and desensitization of abuse and trauma she can aid you in relief with stress and anxiety she's also amazing at sports and sales coaching and she can help you remotely from the comfort of your very own home if you look far away so contact new don hit note therapy dot com awesome and i've been to her she's amazing well today's spooky my home difference talk to y'all later hey have a good night i don't know see you guys bye have a good one you've been listening to the supernatural hour at advancedparanormal.com the supernatural hour is part of the radio ronin network found at radioronin.com copyright by advanced paranormal services
