馬纓丹

馬纓丹是常綠灌木，原產熱帶美洲，三百年前引進台灣。四季開花，花色多變，因此又叫七變花；但全株帶有刺鼻氣味，也被稱為臭草。它可作觀賞、蜜源與藥用，葉與根能清熱解毒、活血止痛。不過枝葉與未熟果實有毒，誤食會傷肝，引起嘔吐腹瀉。鳥類常啄食其果實，幫助種子散播，所以在台灣各地常見。 -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
