Mabon 104: Grounding Magic

Greeting’s heathens and witches, Welcome to the Horn and Cauldron podcast… Mabon takes place on the Autumnal Equinox, when day and night are equal. Created in the late 1900s, Mabon is a newer festival, but cultures throughout the world have been celebrating the Autumn Equinox for thousands of years. It’s a time of sharing and giving thanks, transition, preparing for winter, reflection, balance, and of course… feasting! Since Mabon is all about finding a balance, this is a great time to talk about grounding. Grounding (AKA earthing, rooting, or raising energy) helps us balance ourselves, like the idea of “go out and touch grass.” Grounding can help reduce stress and improve mental focus, as well as replenishing and casting off our own magical energy.
