Mac Allister Shines, Barcola Falters | Belfast News

Alexis Mac Allister delivered a heroic performance for Liverpool, netting the game-winner against Atlético Madrid just days after declaring he’d give his all despite stalled contract talks. His stunning left-footed strike from 20 yards sealed the comeback after Marcos Llorente’s early goal — and came on the same night as Bradley Barcola’s explosive debut, which ended prematurely due to a calf injury. Despite the setback, Mac Allister’s commitment shone through, while Ronald Araujo’s assist proved vital. This gritty win marks Liverpool’s first victory after going behind since January — a sign of resilience that could carry them through a tough season.
