Mac Malware Steals Crypto Wallets via Telegram | Bitcoin and Crypto News
from Bitcoin & Crypto News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
A new Mac malware is hijacking Telegram Desktop sessions and stealing crypto wallet data — bypassing two-step verification by reusing local sessions. It digs into Keychain, Safari cookies, and Apple Notes to target over a dozen wallets, including Exodus, Atomic, Ledger Live, and Trezor. Attackers can crack stolen wallet databases offline or trick users into handing over recovery phrases via fake wallet apps. Security teams have replicated the attack. If you’re on a Mac and into crypto, log out of Telegram, reset your 2FA, change your desktop passcode, generate a new recovery phrase on a clean device, and move your assets to new addresses.
