Mac Rua - Carlow based band - 01/09/26

 Mac Rua is a Carlow based band. Their debut EP INITIATION, was released on September 12, 2025. MACRUA went through some changes. Mac Rua members Aaron Smith and Elliott Cass started to write songs together as a duo. Over the months leading up to February they auditioned members and now we have an almost fully Carlow based band. They’ve been working away in the background, rehearsing with the band every Tuesday, and now they’re gaining momentum again. they have an upcoming gig in Smithwicks this Saturday 5th of September, with them is also KCLR alumni Niamh O' Loughlin on backing vocals.
