Macabre Daily Podcast Special Edition: The Legacy of Clive Barker's "BOOKS OF BLOOD" with Grady Hendrix

from Macabre Daily Podcast! · host Macabre Daily

In this special episode of the Macabre Daily Podcast, Matt has a conversation with Author Grady Hendrix about Clive Barker's "The Books of Blood" volumes 1-3. Grady is a man who needs little introduction, but we're gonna give him one anyway!  Grady Hendrix is the author of some of the most original horror novels of the 21st century including "Horrorstör," "My Best Friend's Exorcism," "The Final Girl Support Group," "Witchcraft for Wayward Girls," and "How To Sell A Haunted House." Hendrix also writes non-fiction, and has written volumes on genre films and media by way of "Paperbacks from Hell" and "These Fists Break Bricks." He's a former journalist who also co-founded The New York Asian Film Festival, and was tapped by Berkley to craft a new afterword for their re-release of Barker's "Books of Blood Vol 1-3."  We discuss the lasting impact of Barker's work, what makes him so unequaled, and the inspiration he's had on the world of genre!
