MACS Podcast Episode 2: The US AIM Act of 2020, an EPA NPRM & their Impacts on Mobile A/C (hosted by Peter Coll & Steve Schaeber) In our second episode, Peter and Steve discuss the US AIM Act of 2020 and implications it has for the mobile air conditioning sector. They also cover an EPA NPRM (notice of proposed rulemaking by the US Environmental Protection Agency) that was issued in December 2022, which may require certain subsectors of vehicles and mobile equipment to stop using refrigerants with a high GWP (global warming potential), such as R-134a (or HFC-134a) by the year 2025 or 2026.
