Mad Max (1979)
from Sequelcast 2 and Friends Hosted by Mat Bradley-Tschirgi
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and Sabrina Miller discuss Mad Max. Cop Max Rockantansky (Mel Gibson) fights against punks led by the sadistic Toecutter (Hugh Keays-Byrne). One of Mel Gibson's earliest films, Mad Max is a far cry from the later better known flicks in the series. There is cheesy saxophone music and a heaping plop of melodrama, but the back half of this film feels more like the Mad Max we grow to know and love.
