Magic Series: Episode 15- Shoes

The Magic of Shoes is something you will never forget, or maybe you already know! In a lot of Hoodoo, and Wiccan Magic Cultures, shoes are a magical tool! Shoes serve as a vessel such as a jar, or burying magical charms, petition papers, and crystals.

Shoes are something inconspicuous that others will not notice. Often times petition papers are place in the shoe that is on the same side of your dominant hand; or the hand you write with. But why put anything magical in shoes of all places? Your feet carry all of your body weight as well as all of your energy. When you place magical talismans, papers, or charms in the shoe, you can keep the magic alive, and the items are gaining power the longer it is carried on you.

Most likely, when going into a situation where you think you'll need protection, favor, or the upper hand, people place magical items in their shoes when they know they will be around a special person, such as a love interest or boss.

These items help carry out your intentions successfully and anonymously. It is often said in many culture to carry a magical item in your shoe when especially going to court to keep the favor of the judge. Magical items can be worn in the sock instead of the shoe, some prefer to be barefoot when carrying around items in their shoes to feel a closer connection to your magic?

You may consider shoe magic the next time someone walks into a room and you may notice a change in the air or you may feel something tingly between you. What would you do if the shoe was on the other foot?
