Mags McEvoy looks ahead to Laois Ladies' All-Ireland semi final against Clare

from LaoisToday · host LaoisToday

With club championship action set to begin in Laois next weekend, this is going to be the final 'quiet' one for a while. While the volume of games may be low, there is one massive one taking place on Sunday. The Laois Ladies are off to Kiltoom in Roscommon to face Clare for a place in the All-Ireland Intermediate final. Donie Brennan's charges reached this phase last year and were eliminated by Wexford so they will be hoping to go one better this time. A big match calls for a big guest and we are delighted to be joined by Sarsfields and Laois legend Mags McEvoy. Mags joins Alan Hartnett to look back at the season to date, preview what we can expect from Clare and urge people to get behind the team. After the break, Alan is joined by Steven Miller for a look ahead to two league football finals. The Division 3A decider is between Annanough and Ballyroan-Abbey on Friday night. While Graiguecullen play Rosenallis in Division 3B on Saturday with the Division 5 meeting between Park-Ratheniska and Kilcavan postponed.
