Maia Friedman (Dirty Projectors / Coco) Interview

Maia Friedman is based in Brooklyn, NY. She has been a member of Dirty Projects since 2018, providing guitar, keys, backing and lead vocals. Most recently with the band she sang and cowrote lyrics on the 5 EPs compilation. Her other project Coco released their new full length titled Coco on October 29th, 2021. Maia will also be releasing her debut solo album next year with more details coming soon. Music Maia has wrote and or contributed to music that has been featured in Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and much more. She performed NPR’s virtual Tiny Desk concert last year with Dirty Projectors. Maia has toured across the world and will be playing her next show at Union Pool in Brooklyn New, York November 16th.
