Maine’s Ranked-Choice Voting Deep Dive

Maine’s three tight races head to ranked-choice voting as no candidate hit 50%—including the Democratic Congressional primary and both gubernatorial primaries. Ballots are being collected statewide, with law enforcement handling transport to Augusta by Friday at 1 PM. Election officials then upload, scan, and hand-count ballots before feeding them into air-gapped computers for secure tabulation. Results will stream live Friday on the Secretary of State’s YouTube channel, with in-person viewing at the Department of Public Safety. Final results aim for June 19, with recounts starting after Juneteenth. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
