Major brand DEI executives are on their way out

Whether you think Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) efforts are going to far, not going far enough, or somewhere in between, it's starting to become clear that something isn't working. The knee-jerk reaction is to start ascribing blame... then the usual arguments begin to surface: - "If you're pro-DEI, you're anti-meritocracy!" - "If you're anti-DEI, you're a bigot!" (Or an "-ist" or practice an "-ism" etc.) The truth is somewhere in the middle and much more nuanced, but we're never going to get to a point of understanding if we keep carrying old baggage and preconceived notions to the discussion. Today's video unpacks some recent articles, highlights a bit of data, and I share some of my own views on how we got here.
