Makayla Rene Settles was an 18-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, chasing her California dream. Just two days after moving in with her biological father in Moorpark, she was allegedly violently r*ped by him. She did everything right — fled, called for help, got a r*pe kit, and gave statements.
