Make Fitness Fun

from Profit Your Knowledge · host James Allen

Rate this podcast: https://ratethispodcast.com/mpi Fitness is an essential part of a full and exciting life. But there's a problem... People are lazy. Imagine if fitness could be fun. Like, you actually enjoy and look forward to exercising. Here's the truth... I was a fat kid growing up. I wanted to be fit so I could feel better in my own skin, be comfortable taking my shirt off in public, and ultimately feel confident so I could talk to girls. I tried so many different types of exercise and realized what I like and what I didn't. I ultimately found CrossFit and fell in love with it. Now, my Mom for example loves running. Every year, she runs the Grand Canyon. End to end. (Crazy, I know) But that's what she LOVES to do! My gf for example isn't very fond of CrossFit, lifting weights, or running. But, she will swim and dance for days with no loss of enthusiasm. If you've danced for an hour, you know it's a legit workout! Point is... Exercise doesn't need to be a drag. It can be fun and exciting for you too! As long as you find a way to consistently move your body and get your blood pumping, your golden. That, coupled with eating natural, real, and whole foods of course. And if you're wondering, "How am I gonna stay consistent with all of this??" Find a community, coach, or friend that's going to keep you accountable. For example, CrossFit is widely known for having an incredible community. Even people that aren't fond of CrossFit admire its community. There's a community for dancers, lifters, bodybuilders, rock climbers, swimmers, martial artists, skiers and snowboarders, and anything else you can come up with. It's up to you to get out there and try them out. Once you've found a way that you love to move your body, coupled with a great community... The hardest part is showing up.
