Erin is a very talented local DJ that for whatever reason does not put herself out there very often. She has a great ear for music and has an eclectic taste for out of the box jams. She pushes the envelope and has even had an influence on me and my sound. Honestly, this mix likely would not have happened if she was not best friends with my fiance so shout outs to Jazmine as well. Super stoked to have her on board and please reach out and book her to break her hermit tendencies and expose Sacramento to some dope beats. Our conversation this month comes from one of the major contributors to the Sacramento scene, not just musically, but is heavily involved with other elements of our culture. I was fortunate enough to get hooked up with Ben from Requiem through Erin and feel fortunate to have the opportunity. Ben has a can-do attitude that stemmed from being a DJ looking to play parties, to now throwing some of the biggest parties in Sacramento. He and his crew are responsible for bringing some of the dopest local DJs and the biggest international talents through our city. Some of the more recent notable events that they have thrown involve the Banana Sundae s day parties at the Flamingo House, This Midtown Block Parties, Neon Chapel and many many more.
