Make Good Choices

from I Have Things to Say · host Teri Hebert

This episode is inspired by watching “Botched Up Bodies” and “Surviving R. Kelly” and what weighs heavy on my heart as a result. We too often make bad choices. I’m talking about just doing really dumb—or blatantly wrong—with a justification or rationalization that we feel makes it right....despite the horrible or hurtful outcomes. I’m also talking abut looking the other way when we shouldn’t. Or not speaking up when it’s the right thing to do. Or going with what’s popular when we know it’s wrong. Or focusing on an imperfection that isn’t where our focus should be—then making a series of bad decisions to fix something that doesn’t need to be fixed. We risk so much when we make bad choices. Find out why I think shows like “Botched Up Bodies” and “Surviving R. Kelly” are situations born from our tendency to make bad choices. Like what you hear?
