When Caesar Augustus ordered a census requiring everyone to return to their ancestral homes, Bethlehem became overwhelmed with travelers. Mary and Joseph, with Mary ready to give birth, found themselves without proper accommodation - not because people were hostile, but simply because there was no space available.Mary's journey to this moment began with an extraordinary act of faith. At only 14-16 years old, she received the angel Gabriel's announcement that she would conceive Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Her yes to God meant facing potential death by stoning for being an unmarried pregnant woman, social shame, family rejection, and the unknown challenges of pregnancy and childbirth. Yet she responded with complete trust, calling herself a bond slave of the Lord and surrendering to God's plan.
