This year's theme is the Year of Spiritual Practice, and this month's word is study. Inside our mind's "land of editing", we have to decide what's going to be a diamond and what's going to be a rock. We are geared for discovery, and we're designed to decide which experiences we will label as good and as bad. In the ten spiritual realms (Dharma Dhatu) of the Buddhism of T'ien T'ai, integrity, inner freedom, and compassion comprise the characteristics of the upper four spiritual realms.
