Making a Dance Studio Film with Brionne Olsen

In episode 152 we bring back Brionne Olsen in South Africa. Brionne is a sound engineer, filmmaker and storyteller. He’s been inspired to create smartphone videos and films since 2020. Brionne made a short film this year with the Elements Of Moment Dance Studio. The film is a beautiful dance performance choreographed by Ashley-Jade Miranda. Brionne asked for a performance that expressed women empowered through movement.  He used his iPhone 11, an anamorphic lens, a gimbal and two lights. The film used mostly natural light in the studio and ambient sound captured on the phone, which he later mixed  the audio and video in DaVinci Resolve.
