Making An Impact On Others Through Real Estate Investing With Todd Dexheimer

from Life and Money Show · host Todd Dexheimer, Julie Lam, Annie Dickerson

“Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” This famous Mike Tyson quote was echoed by today’s guest, and fittingly so. The world of real estate investing can seem pretty unpredictable. Without a WHY anchoring your every move, you will be buffeted by the winds of an ever-shifting market and lose track of why you even made the bold move to become an investor in the first place. But nothing good ever comes easy. The most successful individuals in the field are the ones who persisted with an enduring sense of purpose.Todd Dexheimer is the CEO of Venture D Properties and the host of the podcast Pillars of Wealth Creation. Todd started out as a high school teacher, but once he realized that wasn't the best fit for him long-term, he wasted no time accumulating real estate assets, visiting around 20 properties a day and buying a new property almost every week. At one point, he had acquired over 100 houses and could have easily retired from the cash flow they collectively produced. Instead, Todd decided that he wanted to pay it forward and make an impact on others. To that end, he established Venture D Properties, as well as the Pillars of Wealth Creation podcast, in order to help other aspiring and established real estate investors thrive in their careers.--WHAT TO LISTEN FORHow Todd accumulated over $35 million in real estate assets, including 550 multifamily units and 25,000 square feet of office and retail across five statesHow Todd bought his first few properties with a relatively small investmentWhy Todd decided not to retire despite owning over 100 properties producing cash flowHow to develop your kids’ entrepreneurial spiritHow to achieve flexibility of time even while working long hours on your business--RESOURCES FROM THIS EPISODEWebsite: Venture D PropertiesPodcast: Pillars of Wealth CreationCoach with DexNorthstar Real Estate Conference--CONNECT WITH USTo connect with Annie and Julie, as well as with other Investing For Good listeners, and to get the latest scoop on new and upcoming episodes, join the Investing For Good Podcast Community on Facebook. To learn more about real estate syndication investment opportunities, join the Goodegg Investor Club.Be sure to also grab your free copy of the Investing For Good book (just pay S&H).--Thanks for listening, and until next time, keep investing for good!
