Making Plastic Desirable | Rui Peng

from Ngahere Talks Hosted by Ngahere Communities

Critical. is a design studio based inside an Auckland (decile one) school that was born from a dream to help our people and communities use technology to empower themselves. Now, Critical. take the thing we hate the most and turn it into desirable objects, working with companies like Fonterra and Torpedo 7, while also bringing new technology and design thinking into the tech curriculum for the school. It's plastic repurposing that's actually sexy. Last week they showed their innovative process and product to Prince Charles when he visited their studio in Wesley (Mt Roskill). Manawa and Rui have been mates for years now and have been a part of each others entrepreneurial journey, so in today's episode they catch up and recap the journey of Critical. - a journey of highs, lows, lols and soul searching. www.criticaldesign.nz
