Making Sense of Love Pt. 4 - God's Love Smells Differently

God is love (1 Jn. 4:8). Therefore, God gets to define what it looks, feels, tastes, smells, and sounds like. God’s love smells differently. It’s an aroma, not an odor. God’s love was meant to attract, not repulse, though we recognize not everyone is attracted to how God’s love smells. 2 Corinthians 2:15 TLB - 15 As far as God is concerned there is a sweet, wholesome fragrance in our lives. It is the fragrance of Christ within us, an aroma to both the saved and the unsaved all around us. Ephesians 5:2 ESV - 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Picture your life as a smell and seek to have a love that’s an aroma instead of an odor.
